I tried that, but it doesn't fit into the recessed part of the scale where the normal clip goes, so it would probably slide around since it's just one screw. I was also worried about it scratching the Ti scale.

That clip looks poorly designed for the reasons you described although when looking at your photo in pocket, it seems like you should be able to push the knife in all the way.
