Forgive the ignorance, but which model is this? I like everything about it!
That WAS a Yojimbo. I think it’s a Yodigno now :p
If you would be so kind, what is that a reference to?

Re: Swayback Lookout Thread

Just ordered from National Knives, and the price turned out to be lower than listed once I initiated checkout - $159. (edit: I wish!!! Pipedream typo - it was $259). Not as discounted as using the Campsaver coupon, but will arrive sooner I would imagine!

Re: Anyone else dislike the wire pocket clip?

I like the retention and deep carry of the wire clips, but they almost always give me crazy hotspots.

Re: Techno mods, pt. 2

That blade shape is perfection . Makers, take note. DigDug72, I think it is time for you to submit a new, novel design to Spyderco with a similar blade shape and contoured scales in your preferred size range. I think it would sell very well. Thanks so much JR, I really appreciate the kind words man!

Nifty! Is is slow going? I don’t know much about grinding titanium.
It's a pain, but not as bad as hardened steel by any means! Go slow (grinding speed), and douse w/ water often as it heats up pretty fast. Also burns through belts fast.

Wow looks cool, what are you using to grind away the titanium?
Thanks Jon! I use a belt grinder for that, plus hand sanding.

Techno mods, pt. 2

I've continued modding this Techno2 - started w/ contouring the scales, but just ground off the finger guard yesterday, and really liking it w/ this mod. Can choke up now, and get 4 fingers comfortably on deck, plus opens w/out the guard bumping. https://i.imgur.com/ZaoMMb7.jpg https://i.imgur.com/h...

Can't wait to see your chop - the larger blade has me waiting for reviews etc., but ending up as a commission heading your way is a very tempting option as well :D
Thanks TooCool, I'll definitely post pics as soon as it happens!

Re: Swayback Lookout Thread

Oh man, been fiending for this one for years, yay!!! Please don't hurt me if I chop this down to a 7" OAL. Looking at the specs the Swayback's bigger than I thought it would be. Kind of disappointed it doesn't have the 3" blade that I envisioned. Oh well! I'm still in I was thinking the sa...

How do you keep the blade cool while cutting?

Here's a vid of another Shaman chop I just did (commissioned) - more angular blade shape, slightly longer blade and handle than the last chop: https://i.imgur.com/mckTStb.mp4

Re: Shaman mini-skinny chop

Love the blade and handle profile. Would prefer to retain some length in both but looks great. Thanks Woodpecker! As a matter of fact I'm chopping one now (for a customer) w/ slightly longer blade and handle(3.25" blade, 4.12" handle). I think that looks great...I am about to buy a Shaman...
