Love the Southard, personally kind of digging the all black looks a little more unique to me with the titanium blacked out. I am still not crazy about the G10 over travel stop, I wish they would have used another material for that particular piece of hardware. Funny I wasn't completely sold on the ...

Every folding knife ever made has the same issue. Once you decide to sacrifice strength for convenience by making it fold, everything else is more compromise. Even drilling holes to pin scales to a full tang knife sacrifices strength. Yeah I completely agree, but you don't HAVE to sacrifice tang st...

If we're talking about knives that have only existed in real life, and only talking about EDC use, then the Southard is probably the one. It isn't my favorite knife, but it is probably the most well rounded for my needs for everyday carry. I tend to pick knives for these questions based off of usefu...

The thing is, it operates as a compression type of lock rather than a tension type like a backlock. When closing force is applied to the blade, it squeezes the toggle between the blade tang and the toggle pivot pin rather than pulling on the little hook on the end of a lockbar. The strength of the ...

Some knives have so much knife showing above the clip that it's just not possible to make them disappear completely. I know I'm going to start something again but it boggles the mind why anyone would want to mount a pocket clip for tip down carry Pretty simple really, if the distance from the butt ...

If I could get my hands on the right kind of metal I could probably churn out some clips. I made this one for my Delica, I think it's about as deep carry as it gets. It vanished in your pocket but still provided something to grab when drawing it. I've sold the knife but I'm pretty sure I still have ...

Nothing wrong with third party options, Sal has even recommended them before as the standard issue to this topic is lack of time and profit, I just think a lot of people are brand loyal and/or feel Spyderco may do a better job. Personally I would prefer a ~$10 option from Spyderco over the $40 optio...

I've never had a cop call me out but I've been stopped and frisked and I've openly disclosed that I was carrying a pocket knife. 9 out of 10 times your success in these situations depends on a few simple things. 1) don't be a jackass to begin with and give cops a reason to even pay attention to you....

The PITS knife looks like a fancy non locking tenacious. Sign me up and how! Canada doesn't have any laws agains locking knives, but I'll still get this blade. I find slipits to be incredibly useful tools. Not every task needs a lock, I'd even go as far as saying most don't. I've had work situation...

EvilD, I'm expecting a full report and sales pitch from you for sure! :) LOL, is it really necessary at this point? Honestly the only things I would change are the things I already have changed, which admittedly are possibly things that only suit my own needs/tastes and may not matter at all to you...
