Re: Taking apart knives - part 2
Today I see on Facebook a post from a Spyderco user in Europe. He attached a photo of an obviously used Delica posed on top of a set of tools. The blade is out of the handle. The pivot hole area is very dirty and probably corroded as are the bushings and the broken pivot pin. He said that the pivot...

Re: Delica 4 LWT Information For A Newbie
The backpack action is different from other, more flickable, locks, because the tension from the spring is an the tang through the whole arc of travel. Detent based locks (frame, liner, compression) are more "flickable" in that once the detent is overcome, the spring tension from the lock...

Re: Taking apart knives - part 2
If the cutting tasks that I perform routinely were gunking up my knife to the degree that disassembly was necessary, I would (personally) take that as an indication that a fixed blade would be a better option. I may be off the mark...wouldn't be the first time! :p True again, but as said at the sta...

Re: Customer service Europe (or even Germany)
Does Boker offer US customers stateside service? All my Boker issues have been resolved by sending back to site I bought it from, so I have never used their warranty service.

Re: Customer service Europe (or even Germany)
Just for clarification, are you saying that one or more of the European dealers you have purchased from have refused to accept returns of Spyderco knives with warranty issues? No, I didn't have any issues with any of the Spydercos I own, I wrote this above "so far I'm a happy customer" I ...

Hahaha S110V is a model # or a type of Steel? Sorry for the ignorance... No worries...the S110V is the steel. The model number is C101GPDBL2. I have also heard great things about the Maxamet version (C101PGY2), but am not sure of the availability. Happy hunting! No more hunting, I’m keeping. At lea...

Re: UPDATE - WHAT CAN I DO ABOUT THIS SQUEAKING??
I have had this exact issue with my Tenacious and Efficient. With a little time and lube, it will go away. It must have something to do with the liner material used in the value folders. Oh, also, my Persistence does the same thing. Squeaky metal gets oil (or grease) in my book. Hope this helps. Bu...

I always thought the warnings were funny..."...known to the state of California to cause cancer". As in, "we are so progressive that we know more about lead than you do". Lol.

I'm really happy with the kinship on this forum. I have gotten free advice, a free knife (thanks Matt, you glorious bastard) and today...a free sticker (thanks Paul)! I really appreciate this forum, and the folks who contribute.
Sorry for the sap, but I needed to let that out.

Thanks for the suggestion. I put a few drops of gun oil on it and have worked it for a good week. Still not as smooth as the used Delica clipit I bought, but It’s a lot better. I know the Delica 4 is the improved version, but there’s just something about the old clip it that just feels about perfec...

I didn’t say mine were the only good ideas. If I think you (the generic “you”) has a bad idea I am free to say so. I have strong opinions and if you (the specific “you”) think that is pontificating, I don’t mind. Open discussions permit the clash of differing ideas and opinions, and occasionally, v...

Re: Cat curiosity...
Thanks. No issues, just curious on when the CQI happened. This knife cuts WELL above its weight class. Pretty close to a locking Urban.
