Re: Caly 3/3.5 interest Poll
I'm totally on board for a Caly sprint. I'd be perfectly happy with most of the options thrown out. Bolsters (absolutely if possible and I would love to see them in Damascus if I'm being greedy) Steel (XHP would be fine, however I would want it to be traditional and a Japanese steel would be more ex...

Re: Knifeworks Exclusive CTS-204P Delica 4
Mine arrived today, color is great and very close to the original ZDP Delica models. Planning to sharpen and use this one for the remainder of the month.

Re: Where do you grip large knives with a choil?
I am the exact opposite vivi. I instinctively reach for the choil on knives that have one. I prefer a more choked up grip to maximize the control on blades. This is more important for me on large knives like the Millie, ATR, Police 4, etc.

Re: 12 reasons why the Delica is better than the Native
Dan, I happen to agree with many of your points when comparing the Delica 4 to the current FRCP or G-10 Native. Had we a choice to compare the original FRN Native models (assuming they were ever available in FFG) then this discussion would have been much more in depth (in my opinion). The 2013 forum...

GITD Ladybug Coming
Just saw from GP Knives. Not sure if it is an exclusive or if they were just the first to post about it. Maybe this means the Jester is just around the corner.

One of my secret joys is finding long discontinued Spydies. If they are perfect it's a nice bonus, but as I told vivi yesterda...

Re: Stop throwing away Amazon boxes!
I will admit, there are things I have a very difficult time throwing out, but Amazon boxes have never been one of them. :p They generally get broken down the day they arrive, stacked on a shelf in the garage till I have enough to bundle, then tossed in the trash can. Herb-Ox jars, Altoid tins, and ...

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
Have you tried the Casey Lynch wire replacement clips? I like them and the retention is great + plenty of room for thicker pocket hem material I haven't, but I will look into them. I had a few that were titanium and were a great sturdy option but they have been buried in the safe somewhere out of s...

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
I have one of these, but have yet to try it on anything but the Caly family. Never on an FRN knife. I find that they don't have enough width for some work pants (Carhartt, Dickies, Kuhl, Mountain Khakis) I wish the mount stood taller with the same thickness over the pocket hem. I agree with you on ...

Re: Finally ordered that Lone Wolf Distributor's Endura
This knife was always on the interest list but I never purchased. I had plans to make a small paracord marlin spike from the Glocktool. Now Exo-tools makes a proper bolt on upgrade for the D4/E4 backspacer. Congrats on your new tool.

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
You did a great job. Knives with personal work put into them always carry a little extra significance. I had a digital camo military at one point. I swapped blades with a CPMD2 sprint, put a stupid thin edge on it, let it get a patina and carried it near daily for 5 years. It got lost or stolen dur...

Re: Stop throwing away Amazon boxes!
Back in my college days the USPS still offered free priority boxes by the hundred. You could enter you address and within a week you'd have 100 USPS priority mail boxes. Somewhere on some old IDE HDD's from a few decades ago I have pictures of couches, patio furniture etc. fashioned from boxes. :D ...

Re: Newbie with question
Hard to argue with David's logic, I prefer to carry a Caly, Kopa, Kiwi or Horn folder when in a suit. That said, I have clipped a Millie to my inner sport coat pocket when I thought I would want something with more reach. I don't wear as many dressy knives as I once did, but still the upcoming Chap ...
