Re: Show off your latest purchase

Still chasing the elusive first generation 2-screw variant, but this (gen2 I believe?) is close enough for now!

Spyderco Worker appreciation

I recently snagged what I believe to be a gen2 Worker (three screw, unbevelled handles, one thick and one thin scale, no lanyard hole) in what appears to be unused condition, and I'm pretty chuffed. Still on the hunt for a first generation 2 screw variant, but just had to share my excitement with yo...

Re: Why all the Manix love?

If this hypothetical Manix LW backlock retained the refinement of the Manix 2 backlock.....be still my heart :p

Re: Why all the Manix love?

Well after all this time I finally gave in to all the temptation and bought a Manix 2! This is a fantastic knife, and the awesome CF and steel doesn’t hurt :D There is NO way this knife will ever come out of my hand unwillingly! I would almost like one with smooth scales and no jimping at all. If I...

Re: Mirrored stone wash finish love thread

Definitely a beautiful finish. It adds a nice touch of refinement and class to the blade. A touch of ...polish....if you will? Ok, I'll show myself out now. In all seriousness though, it's a great looking finish that I would love to see on more models. I have come to associate the typical crisp sati...

Re: Siren

That picture just reminds me how much I want a Waterway, even though folding knives serve me fine and I don't really have a realistic need specifically for fixed blades outside the kitchen.

Re: Astute ... Yess !

I very much like the looks of the Astute. Nice clean curves, and it looks like it will carry slim and also have good ergonomics. Should be a winner.

I love my backlock Manix 2 so much I had to hunt down the original Manix and Mini Manix backlocks. It's fascinating to see the evolutionary refinements and changes for the Manix 2.

Re: Siren

Although I just got my Siren, I observe the same behavior with regular G10. It tends to smooth out to the point that the texture is there but it doesn't particularly bite anymore. I can certainly believe that the sharp highs on the Siren G10 will smooth out, and am looking forward to seeing whether ...

Re: Siren

I just got my Siren in today, and it's fantastic! The blade has a very nice point and subtle belly and is ground nice and thin from some decently robust stock, the backlock is very refined and smooth, and the ergos....oh my those ergos. The hooked front of the handle just hugs my index finger and is...
