Congratulations on the Moran purchase. That one with the orange/black handle really appeals to me! I guess if I really want one I should get it soon since it is listed as discontinued, but I have so many other knives I also want! :D But it is very good-looking!

I don't have any seconds... yet! After seeing some of the posts last year of some of the deals folks got, I'm really trying to find a way to make it to the next SFO sale -- looks like about a 14 hour drive for me. I may take some vacation time and do some site-seeing along the way if I can find some...

Now you'll get a chance to combine your interests, take photos of your knife (and future knives)! Spyderco had a photo contest here where members had a chance to submit their photo to be included on a forthcoming calendar, we can always hope they may do a similar offer sometime in the future :) . Bu...

Counting all my bladed things (collection if you want to call it that) a little over three thousand....Doc :D Wow, I have so far to go! :) I think I have added about 55 blades or so in the past year, now if I could just find the box I know I have somewhere, that has my very first 2 Spyderco knives ...

Usually 3-5. Today I have a Ladybug hawkbill and SAK classic in LF pocket, G10 Dragonfly RF pocket, Salt I right rear pocket, and Caly 3 in waistband. Except I took them all out when I took my daughter to the airport, put them back in as soon as I got back in the truck :) .

If you wake up thinking about the J.D. Smith, and go to sleep thinking about the Zowada, then you have your answer -- you need both! :D That is the problem I find myself running into, the more I think about a particular knife the more I *must* have it, have spent waaay too much money on knives this ...

Congratulations on your knife, it really is nice to be able to hold a knife in your hands before you purchase it. I really love my Caly 3, about the only improvement I would want would be if the wire clip was darker like it seems to be on the Sage, but I really like the deep carry - I wear it in my ...

Absolutely gorgeous collection, and your sphere of influence is growing! I've been on the forum around a year, have seen your posts, and Tony's posts of the first Kiwi's he did for you, but somehow the knife just remained "interesting" to me, but didn't really appeal to me. The more I've l...

I sure wish you'd quit posting pictures of it next to a kiwi, I'd been successfully resisting the temptation to purchase a kiwi, until now! :) I've purchased waaaay too many blades this year, almost 50 I think - some as cheap as the bug or inexpensive machetes, but some as expensive as a Millie and ...

how does one go about getting a cutlery shoppe catalog? I *think* he's talking about the Spyderco catalog, that Cutlery Shoppe throws in the box with each order :) . Also available in PDF format online from links here I believe. I usually get the smaller format catalog, but with one order I receive...

There are many models that just didn't appeal to me at all when I first saw them in the catalog, but I've been surprised at how easily my mind is swayed, both by reading everyone else's opinions here, or by changing my perceived needs. I received a Salt I by mistake from a dealer (I had ordered a di...

Probably not the case as I chipped off the tip of a S30V blade pretty good by dropping it tip-first onto my tile floor So what goes through your mind when you are standing over a tile floor and your open knife slips out of your hand towards the tile? :D In my case, I was showing my knife to family ...

When I'm out mowing the lawn, I carry my SpyderHawk SE - its clip is very secure so I know it won't fall out of my pocket, it is pretty light weight for the size blade, my sweat won't hurt it, and that blade is terrific for when I need to trim the occasional branch sticking through the fence as I go...

When the G10 Dragonfly first came out, I thought there was no way I'd pay $70 for such a small knife, but my feelings have evolved :) . Congrats on the Caspian. I bought the version with the blunt tip, figuring I could use it as a safety knife when kayaking, to keep from cutting myself if I have to cut away some rope entanglement or something. I haven't really put it to much use yet. It is a little difficult for me to pull it out of...
