Re: POLL: Possible new double blade folder: Would you like to see another version featuring a saw?

Warstein Unless you are spending heaps of time in the bush/outdoors, a serrated / plain dual knife is more useful than a saw IMHO. I carry a serrated knife and can think of 10% time I needed a saw and so pulled my foldable saw out or my little fixed saw, both of which go through saplings like water....

Re: POLL: Possible new double blade folder: Would you like to see another version featuring a saw?

Too many good small saws out there already
Including very good folding ones

Days blade not long enough for saw
To be effective

The serrated edge cuts a lot of things, probably 70% of what a saw could cut

Re: questions about serrated blades...

I have only one knife featuring serrations (Delica CE); No problem to keep those sharp on the sharpmaker. One thing I wonder: Will the tips of the serrations get rounded over time when dragged across the corners of the rod during the sharpening process?! Yes. Two things to note though: The effect i...

Sorry to say but I do think some over think things.

The comment above re ‘if you actually used it to cut something you would know the blade is 70% thicker’ says sooooo much.

Re: Will the Paramilitary FRN replace the Delica?

Not everybody likes compression locks. Got it in one. And that's before all the other good responses like post No 2. Pelagic "love the delica for its geometry, ergos, and price. " I've been using an Endura for 27 years, I might by a compression lock but I d don't have to think or look at ...

Re: Hard truths and observations

On a different note- Who’s buying a delica for $75 odd dollars when the new para3 lightweight is $90? Other than the lock which some have strong opinions on gotta say that’s a tough sell! At the moment I buy Endura's because I like the lock and don't have the chance to handle the others although I ...

No DLC. Corrosion resistance isn't aided by it either.
Did I get that right? DLC does not aid in corrosion resistance?
That's my understanding of it, both from his post and others.

Re: Dyad II or New Concept Double Blade Folder?

Those two posts sure show how long a timeframe it takes to get to market and costs involved. That's why it's so much more profitable to just copy a design once it's perfected. "It is a wise man that copies a successful man so that he too can be successful". sal It pisses me off no end. An...

Re: Scratched DlC & Ferric Chloride Acid Wash

Thanks guys, sorry forgot to mention it is a knife I intend to sell figured paint would just look sloppy. Also very curious to see what would happen. Oh and I used the wrong word was getting the DLC off the serrations and sharpening them not reprofiling when I slipped. Not a deep scratch but those ...

Scratches are character, don't worry. A knife without scratches just means you haven't used it enough yet.
+ 1

Totally agree.

If you showed me an EDC DLC knife looking pristine, unmarked, I’d seriously wonder.

Instead of a lanyard hole, make the knife scales buoyant.
Interesting concept.

Not sure how it could be done.
