Sad day to see the Caly 3 phased out. I hope Sal and Co. have plans for a Caly 4 in the not-too-distant future.

Might need to pick up a Schempp Rock...

I've been lusting after a flipper for some time but have not seen one that really calls to me - the Ion changes that. I hope the price doesn't hurt the wallet too much as I'm really eager to pick one up. :)

Thanks for sharing, Kristi and Sal. I'm glad you are enjoying the new choil, Sal. I feel like many of your designs are tailored for my own hand and thoroughly trust your judgement. The Caly is my favorite model and I'm eager to pick up an updated Stretch.

I couldn't stand the raised jimping on the Manix 2. Those steel nubs felt very uncomfortable, IMO. The Para 2 felt very good in hand, however, and I would definitely recommend it over the former.

I'm with ya, Roman. I'd be perfectly happy with VG10 but wouldn't mind another stainless steel (not ZDP though). Dark blue or dark green have my vote for the scales.
