Re: BladeHQ PM2 Aluminum-scale Exclusive

The aluminum scales definitely feel a little lighter than the G10. Also feel really good in hand. I wasn't super impressed with BD1N with my old Para 3 LW so I decided to do a blade swap with my Maxamet PM2. I also put a Lynch clip on to hopefully minimize pocket-shredding. Action and lockup are exc...

Re: Show your Mule

Fab Four They fight for use most days. (Middle two need a final sand I like to do after a bit of use ;)) Have two more (Z-Wear and Z-Max) to knock up before I get to Magnacut How do you decide which pin holes to use? Love that you mix it up, but wondering what drives the decision. https://files.cat...

Re: Where’s my 20CV Ikuchi?!

I am definitely down for an Ikuchi exclusive! Blue or green G10 with 20CV would be great, though I would take gray. But like you said, needs some texture.

Thx Buddafucco for keeping us updated on in-stock dealers. I have never used edgeworks.com before. AND 29 minutes from order placed to shipping notification is impressive!

They shipped mine 15 minutes after I placed the order! Pretty impressive!

Re: Poll... Crucarta ...Poll

Definitely more interested in the scales. Cruwear is a great steel, but I really like micarta scales and Spyderco hasn't produced very many knives with micarta recently. I would be interested in this knife in any steel that holds an edge as well or better than S30V.

I got a notification from knife joy but when clicked link says coming soon. This is twice lol.
Yeah it showed in stock when I clicked the email literally right when I received it but was sold out after hitting add to cart. Maybe they’re trickling them out.

Re: crucarta pm2 now shipping

Is it just me or does it look like the lock access and lock release are larger? The lock access/cutout looks about the same to me, but the lock release tab is definitely longer, probably because the liners are not recessed. Here was an early mock-up that has a compression lock tab like other PM2s: ...

Excited for this! Though I didn’t receive a notification from the Spyderco app even though notifications are turned on. Weird.

Re: I really hope Spyderco is keeping the liners for the upcoming FRN/LW PM2.

Please no liners. The Para 3 LW is so appealing to me because of how lightweight it is. I've owned several and while none have had perfect centering, none have affected functionality, so it hasn't bothered me at all. A Para 2 FRN just doesn't really appeal to me if it has liners. It won't be much li...

8 on a certain auction site already.....they must be optimistic that they are going to receive them. The SMKW product page is gone like it never existed; not SOLD OUT, just gone. I wonder if SMKW sends out a shipping notice? https://thumbs.gfycat.com/ClosedFancyBlueandgoldmackaw-size_restricted.gif

Re: Interest for an all Titanium Ikuchi?

Definitely interested in variations of the Ikuchi. Ti, FRN, micarta, G10, hopefully with a steel change. I love the original and would be a sucker for a cool variation of the original.

Re: Top Steels and Scales for another Kapara sprint?

I think the Kapara has excellent ergos and grip once I’m holding and using it. The problem, for me, is when I have a less secure grip when opening or especially when closing it. The Kapara is pretty narrow around the compression lock and that combined with the less-grippy handle makes it feel like i...

Re: Top Steels and Scales for another Kapara sprint?

Agreed about the scales, I would love something a little gripper (it's my only complaint about the Kapara, love my DLT Exclusive). Green micarta would be fantastic, but I would also like some peel-ply G10, maybe blue? For steel I prefer stainless and love the M390 family. Oh, and an FRN Lightweight ...

Received the knife today and as nice as it looked in the pictures, they didn't do it justice! Amazing work from Xplorer! It is ridiculously nice and melts into the hand. Huge thanks to Xplorer and Tarheelpwr. I'm really looking forward to using this thing. Thanks again!!! :D https://i.imgur.com/kc44...

Re: When the virtually inevitable Paramilitary 2 LW drops...

If Spyderco, Sal or Eric is reading this thread : Please, go for a FRN version like the chaparral and not a LW version. Keep the metal liners. I had three different Para 3 LW and while they're amazing, the action was inconsistant. The reason is : without liners or even partial liners on both side, ...

Re: Knifejoy Exclusive...Slysz Bowie??!!

What I'm curious about is that since they have gotten rid of the stonewashed blade and scales, which saves money, how/why does this cost nearly twice as much as a Spydiechef? The only real differences between the two I see now are the curved scales on the Bowie and M390 vs LC200N. Seems crazy that t...
