Re: Reveal 13 Live!

Very interested in the Spy27 UKPK. I'm also digging the LW Native Chief. Happy to see the fully serrated Military come back.

Check out 2Hawks. I have the Woodsman tomahawk & have used the poll for light hammering (tent stakes etc.) no problem.

Never miss it. I'll be there at least for Saturday. Hoping I can get Friday off, but short staffed at work.

Re: If you could, would you go back in time?

I always ponder the idea of going back in time. Especially appealing to me would be going back far enough to prevent me getting stage 4 Melanoma skin cancer. It would be nice to still have use of my left arm/hand & not have my career in the Army ended. Then I consider the impact that might have ...

Re: Happy Cinco de Mayo

Street I live on is predominantly Hispanic - I can still hear some celebrations going on.

I think some people would be surprised at how big the Hispanic community is in NW Georgia.

Re: R.I.P. Gordon Lightfoot

I can remember being a 6-7 year old kid riding in my Mom's Corvair on a gloomy day up Ashford Dunwoody Rd in Atlanta when I first heard The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald. His voice singing those lyrics combined with the dark skies made an impact on me - good job.

Rest in peace

Re: Flashlights

Nice collection you have there! I've been looking into getting an edc flashlight since I use the one on my phone all the time. The Fenix E03R is what I'm considering getting but they're coming out with the V2 next month. How do you like the E03R? Also been eyeing up the Nitecore Tini 2 and Tup 1000...

Re: Knife cargo shorts

Another vote for 5.11 shorts. Granted the ones they make that I like are not cargo shorts - the Aramis at around $40. I was mostly using the cargo pocket for my phone. The Aramis has a kinda second back pocket that works for a phone (or gun mag) perfectly. Their cargo shorts look great, but they are...

Re: Bourbon Trail

Crazy how much has changed in bourbon since I first started drinking it. I was stationed at Ft Campbell, Ky from 95-99. Wife, myself & 2 good friends took a trip to Makers Mark distillery around 98. At that time there was hardly any bourbon related tourism except for an annual bourbon festival. ...

Re: Anyone a fan of Emerson Knives

My 1st step into higher priced production knives was a Benchmade 970/CQC7 and AFCK I bought around 19. On the Benchmade 970 I liked the stout blade (at that time) and how it felt in-hand. Used it while in the Army & had no real complaints - not a fan of chisel grinds. Bought a EKI CQC-7 around '...

Re: Good Jeans

Next tried Wrangler, fit was off, but quality was OK. Then I got some Lee jeans and liked them. That said I just switched over to Duluth Trading Ballroom jeans. I checked out your Duluth. They looked good, and the web site had several styles available for under $35. As it turns out, those pants are...

Re: Good Jeans

As a kid, into young adult I wore Levis. Then I noticed the quality was not as good and started looking for replacements. Tried out Old Navy and they fit weird, plus the quality was not great. Next tried Wrangler, fit was off, but quality was OK. Then I got some Lee jeans and liked them. That said I...

Re: First aid and CPR certification

My hospital job has shifted from clinical to clerical now. Formerly an EMT-I, and Army Medic, and actually used CPR on a patient coding. I've watched CPR change over the years in how many compressions to breath ratio, to an emphasis on the compressions. As TomAiello mentioned above, the important th...

Re: How Would Michael Janich Combat Zombies?

I watched The Walking Dead up until the last 2-3 seasons. By that point I was rooting for the Zombies. The amount of repetitive stupid decisions they kept making became too much. "Hey let's not post anyone on watch while we sleep. Never mind there are zombies and other bad humans around, and it...

Re: Non-Spydercos at Shot Show 2023

I can't see the Benchmade Narrows being competition for the Sebenza, especially at the asking price. Personally, I think the discontinued Benchmade Anthem was better competition.

Re: Non-Spydercos at Shot Show 2023

Main one I'm interested in is the G10 Tagged Out...BUT, I preferred it with the cut out instead of the thumb stud. I'd also need to feel it in hand to see if the exposed tang lanyard is a hot spot. The Immunity is intriguing, but I'd definitely need to hold it in hand - I'm very picky on small 3 fin...

Just tried logging in, and it appears my old account has been deleted. That's ok. They're mostly Emerson fans over there. I'm not that. Whole new system so you need to make a new account. Yes, there's a lot of Emerson fans, but it's more than that. My 1st pic uploaded was Spyderco related ;)
