Gotta be able to keep up production on all those Para 2 and Manix variants.

Re: Why Do Seki Models Have Lock Rock??!!
I think a quick and easy reply to the OP's question is that the knives have lock rock because the blades and lockbars are mass produced separately, then matched together later. I'm guessing that the knife being able to lock up is more important than whether there is a perceptible amount of lock rock...

Re: Reveal 14 Live!
The design of the Bodacious is interesting, but I hope to see it come out in a Native sized platform. The only thing that really grabbed my interest were the new Profile stones. They would be handy for when I travel and end up having to sharpen the in-laws kitchen knives. I think they would be easie...

Re: COMING SOON!!!
The timing of the Reveals never made much sense to me. Seems to me they'd be better off releasing them when the knives were ready and about to ship out to dealers.

Re: Just a pocket knife
I have gone back to my younger days. I simply want a good pocket knife. Spyderco gave that to me with this slim, trim slip joint. It is nothing fancy and does everything I need a knife to do. I took the pocket clip off long ago and I simply put this in my pocket, where a pocket knife is supposed to...

Re: Knife trends you just don't understand?
Blade to handle ratio. I've never considered a knife based on how large the blade was relative to the handle. Seems completely nonsensical to me that it's a driving force for people's opinions on how good a certain knife is or is not. I used to agree with you here but the Resilience is starting to ...

Re: Knife trends you just don't understand?
Bearings give me anxiety simply on the idea that there's little gaps inside my washers, for crap to get in. Never went past the Civivi Elementum. Uncomfortable knife to hold, too. Looks like the button lock version was better, but I had washed my hands already. On another note of deployment I kinda...

Re: Knife trends you just don't understand?
I don't get knives with bearings. It seems asinine to add more moving parts to what should be a simple tool. Flippers. Really, any opening method that doesn't allow me to control the opening of the blade through its entire arc. Flippers and bearings belong on toys, not serious using knives. Speaking...

It just looks like the lockbar wasn't ground to spec on top. You could probably take care of it yourself with some sandpaper and take to cover the areas you don't want sanded.

Rockjumper/Leafjumper No choils. No deep finger grooves or points. No cut out for a Compression lock tab. Handle design allows the hand to get close to the edge while still providing a guard. In a close second is the Spyderco Astute, for many of the same reasons. Dragonfly is third, because it uses ...

Isn't the saying that Spyderco's are designed in the dark? Maybe they should have turned the lights on for this one. Sorry, but it looks like the sort of modern design I'd expect to see from Buck.

Re: Aluminum or Magnesium Backspacers, Liners?
The OG military had an aluminum backspacer. Was it? I was under the impression that it was polymer or G10. Pretty sure that's what mine was at least. Some folks have mentioned aluminum not doing well when threaded, but I also think that aluminum liners might not have the tensile strength of steel o...
