Thanks for posting those pics. It seems like the Pelican always looked more like a wharncliffe than a sheepsfoot in all the other pics I've seen of it. I still might have to pick one up though.

My views of politics have always been that no matter who wins, the country loses.

JD Spydo, I kinda like the wrestling analogy. Except you forgot that the scandal that goes on in the government makes wrestling look like educational programming.

Dr., It could have very well been a Black Racer, but I'm not 100%. It was probably one of the biggest I've seen, just a little over 4ft long, and he felt like he weighed more than a gallon of milk. I wish I could give you more detail, but it's been at least 6 years now. The most vivid memory about t...

I had the unfortunate luck to be on the recieving end of a strike from a rather large and rather aggravated Black Rat Snake one time. I was cutting the grass in a field when I came across him coiled next to a tree. I didn't want to chop him up, so I grabbed a branch, and kind of coaxed him around it...

Guess the folder....

I just picked this one up from a member of another forum. Can you guess what it is?

Oh, the sheath was made by the same person I got the knife from. It's only taken me about 5 months to fill it..

I like my Dodo, even if I'm not able to get it as sharp as my other knives. Few of my knives can compare as far as grip security goes. Plus, it's rather unobtrusive, and most people don't seem to be intimidated by it. I'll like it even more when they come out with a wharncliffe version (hint hint Sa...

I made some radical changes to my diet over the summer, and in the process lost quite a bit of weight. Unfortunately, that wasn't my goal. But I've since gained most of it back without making any gains to my waist size. Here's a quick list of some of the changes I made, maybe some will work for you ...

I almost gunted myself a couple weeks ago. I too tried the kinetic opening on my leg. Thought to myself, "Hey that works rather well", then put the knife away. I happened to look down and noticed that I now had a 4 inch slash in my shorts. Thankfully it didn't reach the skin. It cut throug...

Dr. Lecter,

I was about to ask if Zeus had any child shaped lumps in his body when you brought him home, but I see he isn't quite big enough yet :p

RWL,

What kind of cat is that?

I'm 23 (though most say I look older) and I currently work in assets protection with Target. It's a fun job, even if the pay isn't great. I currently have a degree in Criminal Justice from Virginia Commonwealth University, and I'm still trying to figure out what I want to do with the rest of my life...

Make sure the screws that go into the stop pin are tight. I had the same problem with my Military, and tightening those up got rid of the blade play.

Deacon, It's certainly well used, unfortunately not as well cared for. I actually traded it with a friend for another Spyderco about 7 years ago. We just recently traded back. Needless to say he put it to good use. It's in dire need of a trip to Spyderco for a resharpening job. It's not ready to ret...

Deacon,

I just might have to do that tomorrow. Never thought to check NGK or Jensen's site.

JD,

I like the JD Smith so much, I might just have to buy another to replace the one I just traded off. Or maybe a Zowada. Or maybe a Centofante C50. Or....

Ebony and ivory..

Here's a couple of crappy webcam shots of two of my favorites.

The stainless Police model just happens to be my first "real" knife, and my first Spyderco.

JD, I definitely agree with you on the JD Smith model. Heads and tails above the Buck 110 in my opinion. I think it's a shame that there haven't been anymore Spyderco collaborations with JD Smith, I'd certainly love to see more designs from him. I think the main thing that turned me off from the Pro...
