Bradley Air with hollow grind and wire clip.
I second the Air but with a stainless steel. I can take or leave the clip.

Re: BladeHQ M4 Jade Dodo

My buying nightmare: A few days ago I had put another knife in my cart and deleting it took f-o-r-e-v-e-r. I was seriously questioning my life choices with all the waiting I had to do between screens

Based on the title, I thought this thread was going to discuss why Spydercos don't need to be maintained. ;)

Re: Crazy Good Deals Part 2!!

Also, Dick's Sporting Goods has a couple of Spydercos on sale right now. They have a Kapara for $150. Dick's is also offering 20% off thru today. I checked and Spyderco is not excluded from the promotion. I put the Kapara in my cart but it didn't calculate the discount. I contacted Dick's and they ...

Micarta Shaman 2nd Sprint Run

With Sal announcing a second sprint run is in the works I thought new thread dedicated to this version would be appropriate. Since it will be the same brown micarta I would like Maxamet if it's the same stonewash finish the PM2 and P3 versions have. I love that finish.

Re: What models would you like to see with the side button compression lock like the Smock

The button comp lock seems more like a gimmick to me than a useful innovation although I do agree it would probably be easier to use when wearing thick gloves. However I want a lock that is going to be reliable. I've never worried that a comp, back, or frame/liner lock might be accidentally released...

I think the smock looks almost perfect- the only thing holding me back is that giant choil/the distance between the blade and the handle.
That and the weak azz detent. The Boos Hound and Civivi McKenna are a couple examples of how top flipper action should be done.

Re: Shaman Cru-Wear Sprint Run release ?

FYI for anyone who preordered with SMKW. I had preordered the cruwear shaman from SMKW on 09/18/19. My credit card was billed that day for knife. I assumed that meant that I was going to receive the knife. Unfortunately I was notified yesterday by SMKW (via voicemail) that they were not getting any...

Re: Shaman Cru-Wear Sprint Run release ?

Maybe this a bad time, but what do you guys think of a green Micarta Cruwear Shaman, or maybe a green Micarta with another exotic steel? I could argue for a larger quantity. sal I will probably get booed but I'm more interested in the micarta than the steel. S30V would be fine with me and green mic...

Re: Para 2 Lightweight?

I thought this was speculation for a new Para 2 model (which doesn't exist). It's curious why Spyderco put a number at the end when each model has a different name. Why not just call them Military, Paramilitary, and Para?

Other Spyderco models with blade finish like Maxamet?

I really like the finish on the PM2 and P3 Maxamet. I'm going to call it a polished stonewash finish, but correct me if it's not.

What other Spyderco models (if any), whether Maxamet or another steel, have a finish like this?

Re: Para 2 with button lock release..

I like it. Hopefully BWL will come up with more material options than G10 and one color of micarta.

If they plan on offering other handle materials later as a stand alone purchase, I'd go ahead and pre-order one.

Re: Bento Box M390 PM2 Re-Release on July 19th

There is plenty of demand for this knife so I’m sure BBS will run out of them eventually. Selling knives out in minutes is nice, but if they don’t that doesn’t mean an exclusive was a failure. It’s weird to me that some people seem to think that. Agreed, although I think the St. Nicks Knives Delica...

I use mineral oil. If I'm going to waste money, I'll give it to my wife and enjoy the brownie points. ;)
+1. Food grade mineral oil works great, it's cheap, and has multiple uses (for example on my wood cutting boards). Everything else is hype in my opinion.
