Yes, the blade shape of the Stretch makes it a pretty good table knife. I did notice that the ZDP steel of mine gets a little bit of patina when used on food. Nothing to worry about as I don't plan to sell it. I use my d2 para for food duties, apples and steak etc... but i cant seem to get my patin...

A opener/folder in H1 sounds like the bomb. Alternatively, a big metal/H1 (maybe Ti) bug :spyder: , maybe etched, with an opener opening in its body would work. Like this super colorful Beijing Opera traditional mask bottle opener pictured here (photo courtesy of DX): http://www1.dealextreme.com/pr...

How's all winter sound? I'm sure I can find work. Electronics Technician Quality Analyst IT (without any certificates though) I'll come down on the first heavy snowfall, and come back when hockey season is done. Just point me to your nearest shipyard and I'll find work too :D NDT Level II Ultrasoun...

As you can tell, VERY rough mock up.
Cosmo, I like this idea as well, in the non folder catagory!

Quattro, that is beautiful. If that folded out of an FRN or G10 handle...... Genius.

I just got a para in the mail yesterday and I'm having a few issues with it as well. *lanyard tube so loose it just falls out *quite a bit of side to side play in the blade *blade is not quite centered. some fit and finish issues *the finish on the blade itself looks a little sloppy and the grind i...

I would buy one from my favorite knife dealer. They make fun gifts, a folding one would be unique.

DM
SEE, only ours could be a spyderco "bug" shape if the folder idea doesnt appeal to Spyderco.

Try living up here. every weekend we've got 1/2 the channels dedicated to any given sport. between hockey, football and golf we've got too much on. Yeah, that could be annoying. But if I was there, I would be happy to be around hockey culture, because Im really enjoying the sport. Maybe we can trad...

Since the tooling and molds etc already exist for the lady bug, i think that would be a great platform for a first release. LOL, ive spent the better part of my morning thinking of back locks and liner lock versions. As you can tell, i really want a spyderco branded bottle opener.

You can safely open any bottle with a folder larger than a Kiwi.. It can also be done with a lighter or a newspaper :p Most useless tool known to man IMHO unless it can do something else like a pry-baby ;) Ive used paper also. But conversationally, its much better to flash that spyderco bottle open...

Hockey

As a very recent new addition to hockey fandom (this will be my second season of sporadic watching), I am wondering if any of you vets to the game know why we get so little coverage and advertising of this awesome sport. None of my friends watch it, even though I try to get them to, and none of my c...

We could even have a straight forward utilitarian "pry bar" version that opens your bottle of suds OR takes doors off their hinges :D Im still wanting a folder though.

Lets face it, having a rust-proof bottle opener is cool. Plus my grip tends to diminish over time so the G10 would help =)
Let the first one be made of H1!!!!!!

if there is one truth in this forum, it is "a spydie isn't yours until it bites you" :) i recently got a new e4 from new graham knives and they sent along band-aids with it. The dispenser accurately states "you're gonna need 'em!" regards, ira http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2665...
