A millimeter or two of warping sure isn't going to affect anything I will do with it. If you gave me three knives, one straight, and one each with a 2mm warp in opposite directions to use, I probably wouldn't be able to tell you which was which just by using it. What exactly do you do with your kni...

So what im hearing out of you guys is the metal that im holding in my hands is more importiant than the function of it? The fact that its an uncommon metal negates the fact that it should be fully functional? Im not crapping on the program at all. I applaud Spyderco for this program for sure, but yo...

I dont know about you guys, but 20$ or 20000$, i expect my knives to be straight. there really is no excuse imho. unless the curve, or warp, or anything other than straight is listed before you buy it, i dont think you should receive a warped blade. How do you expect to test out a metal if your draw...

Howdy Sal - My new laminated Caly 3 is wonderful - the best Spyderco knife by far of the dozen or so I have had over the years. Question: what do you recommend for maintaining the factory edge? I have searched the forum, and it seems that among us forumistas much is suspected about ZDP189 but littl...

I use plain old mineral oil on mine. Im not sure if the clipper oil is the same stuff, but, my mineral oil is scentless (rather doesnt smell at all like the baby kind) and it does a very fine job if I need to wipe my blades down. Makes a nice even coat when storing my blades, even after wiping the e...

I'm glad this passed but, I will carry what I want within reason no matter what the law states, F*#@K'em! Besides I haven't been stopped by a cop let alone searched by a cop since I was a teenager anyways. But when you are searched one day, and found on the wrong side of the law in regards to your ...

If you just want to clean the crap out just give it a warm soapy bath, rinse and blow dry with compressed air, like keyboard air or wipe dry and pucker up and blow. When it comes to lube in a knife too much of the stuff will attract more crap. Just like with firearms too much is a bad thing. Just a...

How do you get the lanyard tube to come out of the scales? That's my first uncertainty as I'm not sure if it's bonded to the G10 in any manner. Thanks MIne doesnt come out. I dont even try to tussle with that for fear of doing irreprable damage. I just swing her open and closed. I dont suggest pull...

Ive had a few kneck knives, boot knives etc... Meh. I totally preffer clipit folders. Having the dangling knife, even if its in the shirt gets annoying to me. It does deploy rather quick, but, i can draw my pocket knife just as fast. Dont get me wrong, maybe there is a lot of you that would benefit,...

My vote is for the Salt 1, out of your choices. I have a pacific salt, and its serrated. Wonderfull Carry. Its a thin carry, but the ammount of handle i get on it is endura size, which makes getting a grip in a fast moving situation a breeze. I dont have a Delica size knife, but out of your choices,...
