Interesting that Carpenter also makes a variant:

The amount of molybdenum kicks it a little out of the comparison imo.

Re: Spyderco Native 5 Salt SE or Pacific Salt SE ?

The H1 in the Pacific Salt is better suited for the all time seawater exposure. The lc200n on the Native is still a martensitic steel and therefore still endangered to rust, tho he is more rustproof then many other steels. So plus 1 for the Pacific Salt.

I still wish this (LC200N Salt) would come to the Manix 2 Lightweight form! Give me a wire clip anytime over the stock clip of the Native!
Same for me pls

Re: The Waterway Will Be Mine...

I could handle the Waterway on the Amsterdam Meeting. This is exactly what i wanted. I fish in Norway from time to time and i always wanted a good finger guard, slim blade, no sharpening choil, great corrosion resistant steel AND made from spyderco. Very good job Surfingringo!

Re: MAP policy change? 35%

Spyderco offers a range of steels other companies don't. It's hard for me to say a Cruwear, Hap 40, or Maxamet knife is over priced when hardly anyone or no one else is making them. What knives do I compare those to? For example if anyone is desperate for a Cruwear flipper BHQ has some for $700, KW...
