Re: A Gayle Bradley 2 in Cruwear!
The handle on the CF/G10 stock GB2 handle has a bit of a contour to it, right? Are the ones in the exclusive just flat?

Re: Will they ever have full Superblue again?
Spyderco offering super blue was cool, but I rather have it in a kitchen knife (offered but lots of makers), because there's other less available steel I'd like them to use first (hap72, srs13)

I'll take needing to flatten for faster cutting, and constant exposure to fresh abrasive. All stones will need be flattened or dressed eventually.
The sintered Spyderco stones don't dish, but they're slow, and can burnish edges. I just use them to microbevel and burr removal

Re: Community Sharpening Journal
Shawn, for regular nerds, do you have a preference between the CATRA hobby goinometer vs the Griotomatic one? On a side note - is there still a reason to pick Norton India and Crystolon stones in 2023? Japanese water stones work "better" and come in more grits. Diamonds in all flavors work...

I wish they'd up the base steel to 9 or 10cr or a 13c26 variant.
Does the tenacious and polestar feel that different in hand? Visually, they look very similar.

I got one of the stitched water buffalo belts. Nice thick and sturdy leather, good stitching, less expensive than some others. USA/Amish made. They use some interesting leathers too.

Like the ProTech Mordax - beautiful design, but I'd end up wrapping my fat index finger over the edge for sure

UKPK/Calypso and relatives is up there for me, for reasons everyone has stated. I'll take a Calypso Jr with tip up clip update. Delica is for it's availablility, slenderness, and thin blade stock. Native 5 has a great filling handle, and huge choil. I find the blade a little thick, but I get it. The...

Hired help often uses our kitchen knives in lieu of a can opener. Broke the tip clean off this one, so I made it a modified tanto. I also don't buy expensive kitchen knives anymore. 20230112_152535.jpg If you cook enough, you should definitely keep nice kitchen knives around. Just make sure unautho...

I wish the Delica got the cool sprints and exclusives that the Native does. K390 is a solid option, though. Still, I'd like to see a delica 15v or rex45

It's the last of the classic Benchmades and holds a place in my heart because of it. Also, RIP Mel Pardue. Great handle for those who like a full grip, but I am one of those who found it thick. Slightly blade heavy in full size form, and the mini is way too mini (hate that the handle is small, but t...

Too many knives as jewelry posts in the knife community and not enough knives as tools. Half the posts on the Facebook group when the 15v models came out involved immediately swapping scales and clips. I guess people don't NEED a knife as often as they want to. Meanwhile social media mechanic have n...
