I started out with a few, but lately I just seem to have the Police4 all the time. I guess I finally found 'the one'.
I'll carry a dragonfly as well sometimes.

Re: Spyderco p4 praise
I just got my P4 though in the mail yesterday, after snowmageddon delayed its delivery for a couple of days. I've got to say I absolutely love it, its pretty much perfect! It came pretty dull like most others are saying (no big deal), and the blade isn't perfectly centered, and the action was stiff....

Re: Updated shaman sprint steel poll
Got to say I'm not a fan of DLC. It looks great at the start, but after a while its just covered in scrapes (I use all of my knives). A plane blade looks better for much longer. And 'technically' I live in a desert, not a lot of rust here.. lol.

Re: Updated shaman sprint steel poll
Has anyone thought about K390 steel? Just wondering why its not on the list? I love those Burgundy micarta scales, that with a carbon steel and I'd definitely be buying one! (Does anyone know if you can dye micarta? brown would be pretty neat though, I could live with it. lol.) I've never been inter...

Re: Spyderco p4 praise
I just ordered one of these too.. I wasn't going to but I've really been loving the spyderedge P3 lately and well, I wanted to try a plain edge and K390... It was either this or the military, and I don't even like backlocks, but the P3 carries so well and has pretty much the military blade shape (wh...

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
Its a bit big, but you've got to love it! CanaBrit, great photo! How do you like that knife? It's always struck me as a nice-looking design, but one I've never heard anyone here really talk about. Hey Meat Man, well its one **** of a solid, smooth stunning knife. The only problem is carrying it, it...

I got mine from here about 3 weeks ago:
https://www.camouflage.ca/search?q=spyderco+police
Looks like they sold out. It was only $20 more than a SE endura! ($140 CAD).

Re: Thinking about an Endura
You can pick up a serrated police 3 for cheap these days, its probably one of the best 'fruit' knives available !
Of course the police 4 looks awesome but its double the price.

I really want one of these. The Jade/Hap40 would be awesome. If there were any way to make it in M390/Maxamet/etc. I would buy one tomorrow :)
And please, anything but a black handle...

Re: Caly 3 EDC perfection? Could we see a compression?
I recently got a Caly3 in Hap40, and its in my pocket right now. After using a friends Delica I can't see how the Delica is more popular? The Caly seems to have much better ergonomics, and in a smaller package, with a very nice blade size. So yes, if you want to make a FRN Caly 3.5 I'd be quite exci...

Re: BHQ with a hap40 Lum Tanto exclusive?
Is there any chance of a general sprint run of these? I absolutely love the vallotton, but its just too wide (thick & heavy) for EDC. This looks almost identical, but lighter & thinner. Its the blade shape that does it, its just so useful! Sal, if you make them I will buy one for sure (maybe...

Re: Poll: Preferred steel choice(s) for a Manix 2 XL Sprint or Exclusive?
It all depends where you live. In Northern Canada the planes here are classed as a desert, so nothing ever rusts. So I'd vote for any kind of carbon steel, just to try it. People in the south will likely want something stainless.... I think you need 2 options.

Re: FRN Police 4
What about a red, or lighter blue, or anything that you can find if you drop it? Almost everything is either black, or a very dark shade of something. The red & black Delica looks pretty special :) And if you already have K390 blades for the G10 version then why not just drop some in the FRN mod...

Re: Why did the market want heavier knives?
Surely it all just depends on what you're wearing at the time (+ what you're doing)? I love the Vallotton, carry it everywhere, but at work its just too heavy for dress pants. So that's where the Caly 3 comes in. So as much as I prefer a heavy knife, needs must and I have several lightweight options...

yeah, well I hope they sort it all out because I have my eye on a Caribbean sheepfoot but their just not bringing anything into the country right now. Waiting for this mess to clear up I guess. The shop owner seemed to think this was all about assisted knives anyway, rather than just a locking knife...

Re: Canadian UKPK
Hey, I thought I'd report from Canada here. I was talking to the owner at the local cutlery store. Apparently this whole 'banning lock knifes' situation is something that the border patrol just decided to do. The courts have since found out about this and are not happy (the border patrol isn't suppo...

Re: Which spyderco is in the mail?
Can anyone help? I'm looking for a Caribbean Sheepfoot here in Canada, and there just doesn't seem to be any in the country. Am I missing something? Or does anyone know of an ETA for Canada?
Thanks!
(Caly3 Hap40 in the mail by the way :) )
