I've only had a Tenacious and a Persistence from the China line but neither came close to my Golden made knives in terms of fit, finish, smoothness or quality feel, maybe I just got unlucky?

Thanks for the pics, the top down view of the jumpmaster was a real eye opener, I didn't realise how streamlined it was compared to the Aqua.

Love the Aqua Salt though, such a good all rounder, it would be great to see it in a variety of steels/grinds.....

I just checked out the new Gerber US Assist and to my surprise the clip is seemingly identical to Spydercos UKPK wire clip. Does anyone know if they've "borrowed" the design or if the design is protected in some way and they've licensed it?

Thinnish...2.5mm seems to be the sweet spot for me but as others have mentioned it's more about the grind and BTE thickness, a hollow or flat grind with a BTE thickness < .015 would make me happy. The edge looks like it's been sharpened, consistent shiny micro bevel as opposed to a burr.

Elmax or XHP, both hold a razor and working edge for a good amount of time, fairly easy to sharpen and seem to be nicely balanced in all other areas.

For me, the Military S110V, a great introduction to the model with the CQI changes, ridiculous edge holding of S110V and the time tested design of the Millie :spyder: :cool: .

Looks like the shorter Dodo clip falls right on the lock bar relief on that Slysz Bowie. Might snag some material upon withdrawal. Might want to try the longer Manix 2 LW wire clip instead. Both Tiawan Spydercos I've had came with obtuse factory bevels. The Sage 1 I had was absurdly obtuse, probably on the order of 50 degrees inclusive. I think that's just the way they do it. I can't see a benefit. Mine have been the same as yours, don't come close to hitting the apex with a sharpmake...

I'm split between the choices, happy to still have it made in China with the same fit and finish but would like to see it offered with a different steel and scale option to keep the Tenacious fresh....this would result in a smaller price increase and make it easier to justify sitting along side the ...

They've sent some US steels to Japan for use in some new models, if that proves successful then I don't see a S110V Endura being out of the question....
