Re: Hawkbill Grail

The Superhawk is in my top 5 designs. I 100%disagree with removing the choil. This is my number one carried hawkbill. I choke up with the choil a lot. Even though I hate the way the comp lock flicks my finger when I open it, there is only one thing I would tweek on this perfect knife. https://i.imgu...

Re: C-60 Ayoob Campaign: No I Won't Shut Up

As much as I'm not really a huge fan of low height hollow grinds, I don't think this model would work in FFG unless the blade shape was changed into a much taller blade height, and I'm sure that's not going to happen. On a short blade like this there just isn't enough room for the flat grind to tra...

Hardly ever see the Navaja.
The Native 3 only ran for one year.

May not be very old but this took about six years to finally catch.

Re: What is your oldest (earliest) Spyderco ?

This is my first Spyderco. It was in my pocket in high school 1988.

This is my oldest I acquired a few years ago. About 1983.

Re: Let's see some of your rarest Spydies!

Sorry, you're too slow.😉 I snap them all up as soon as they appear. I'm kidding, sort of. Oddly enough, I have a serrated Tufram G-2 on the way to me right now. I don't know how pristine it is, but it has the lanyard hole that my current one lacks. I rescued mine from a pawn shop of all places. Tal...

Re: Let's see some of your rarest Spydies!

https://i.imgur.com/dJIiFh6.jpeg Just got my second Rookie. It didn't have a clip. Found this "thin blue line" clip. That's what I call it. Spyderco installed it for me. The liner didn't line up with the screw holes, and I was worried I would strip it doing it myself. They also gave it a ...

Re: Spyderco Rescue Balisong?

I'm down for any good balisong. I'm carrying a Microtech today because I wanted to play with a Bali.

I had a Spyderfly. It was just odd enough to get me to sell it. Wish I didn't, for collection reasons. Though I would prefer a classic Bali Spyderco.

I like chisel looking reverse Tanto balisong.

Re: Spyderco Siren Observations

Second dates can be illuminating. I find myself enjoying my CQI'd Siren much more than I did before. No matter what I'm carrying in my front pocket(s), I've been carrying the Siren in my right rear jeans pocket and I find myself reaching back for it more often than not. Looking forward to cleaning ...

Re: "The knife guy"

I had a Sheriff ask if I had a knife on me,to pry a bullet out of a door frame. When I handed him my Police Model he stared at it and asked why I needed a knife so big. Of course I responded "why not"? He was obviously not a knife guy. I'm glad he didn't break off the tip. https://i.imgur....

Re: What knife do you carry clipless?

Laser etch looks great but it's like coarse sand paper on the pocket. So I carry it in the bottom of my pocket.
