Re: At what point should I start worrying

Dont mention it. I gladly took the time to write a reply to your OP.

What about the aforementioned law, has that not been passed yet?

Re: Combo Edges Truly Getting A Bad Rap IMO

CE has a bad rep because they are SXXT! Na, just kidding :D Spyderco serrations are devastatingly effective, no doubt about that - and those who use them and not least know how to sharpen their Spyderco knives are fans. CE dont have a bad rep amongst them (obviously). For people being spoiled by eff...

Re: At what point should I start worrying

I was under the impression, that a law was being passed in your country stipulating, that knives should be bought and picked up at retailers in-country banning home delivery or something along those lines. Maybe that was just a proposal and not a law actually passed yet? EDIT; found it 'Home deliver...

Re: (Unofficial) Paul Alexander Ikuchi Discussion Thread

I can relate to that.
As I mentioned in a post above, I like the sleek pointy blades of some models - like for example the Nilakka and in extension knives like the Mantra (2) and the Ikuchi.
(Not comparing the models apart from them being sleek and pointy in general).

Re: It just takes the edge right off.

From what the OP said I assumed the cutting of the metal strap was an accident. Yes, that was my impression as well hence the (). Regardless, Im not sure V-Toku2 would be my first choice for plastic straps either ... let alone Zip ties. I wouldn't even think about trying to use a knife to cut even ...

I just picked up a Benchmade fixed blade today, and I'm looking for someone with a large axis lock folder to trade. They have a few models these days that catch my eye, like the fact and bedlam.
Ill second the Bedlam. Thats a good looking knife, which Ive been looking at for a while.

Re: It just takes the edge right off.

Ive never used the Golden Stone sharpener. Maybe one of the Pocket Stone solutions for a quick fix and then a complete 'overhaul' when at home. … but yes, a spare knife would be the quickest fix* *Yet another reason to buy a knife! ("I need an identical spare knife for work. Muscle memory and a...

Re: (Unofficial) Paul Alexander Ikuchi Discussion Thread

The design is amazing. Saw it at Blade in June and spent LOTS of time fooling with it. Feels great in hand and pocket. Very useful blade shape and size. This one has me more excited than any new design in the last few years. -I think the knife is even more beautiful and sleek in the closed position...

Re: (Unofficial) Paul Alexander Ikuchi Discussion Thread

With apologies to Mr. Alexander if starting this thread is jumping the gun, but I'm very excited about what is already a strong contender in my mind for #1 favorite Spyderco. I would love to hear what thoughts others have, especially from members lucky enough to have handled the prototype at Blade....
