Possible to Obtain Spyder Pocket Clips?

Odd question...but is it possible to obtain Spyder clips by themselves? I ask because they work so well, I would like to attach them to several tools I must carry on a regular basis. I've been admiring the pocket clips on the SS D4s I've recently purchased; wish I could buy a dozen of them...

Love the flat grind! I've been waiting to see these photos since you mentioned you had a flat grind project in the works. I hope that Spyderco will make a flat-grind version available for us plebeans soon. Any chance of seeing a top-side photo, so we can see how thin the spine of the blade had to go...

Great review, outstanding photos! Are you using a softbox for lighting? Here's what's riding in my pocket today. This is a carried knife. Notice how the ZDP is getting stained with use. I kinda like it!

Love clips, couldn't EDC without them. Tried to EDC non-clipped knives and I never liked the pocket slap & the bulge against the leg. (I know what you perverts are thinking. Very funny.) Clipped, you don't even know it's there till you need it. Nothing lost yet. The Spyderco clips are pretty gri...

I agree. When it's something you really like, get a couple. I'm relatively new to Spyderco, but so far:
5x Calys
5x Persians
5x Delicas
2x Manix
...and contemplating a second Yojimbo.

If the Japanese plant were to act as other sourcing plants do, it would likely treat Spyderco as a "second class citizen" or worse if it were to learn of a planned effort by Spyderco to move everything stateside. That would put our cutlers in a serious bind. I feel fortunate that we have a...

Modding & Marketing

Have you noticed that a lot of us are driven to modify stuff that’s perfectly good as is? Get a new car, got to mod it first thing. New computer? Immediately change the defaults and preferences. New house? New cell phone? New ipod? New bicycle? Mod, mod, mod, mod. Silly? My wife thinks so. Psycholog...

A Caly3 in either G-10 or CF, PE version. It's an uptown city knife. Lovely ergos, efficiently built, slim, discreet, all-around useful blade size. Disappears into the waistband and is forgotten until needed. (Downtown city and rural both deserve bigger knifes.)

One thing that has inhibited my purchasing a Para is the "short blade long handle" proportionality of it. Something in me wants the entire length of the handle used to hold blade. The Military has the familiar proportion, but the Para's hinge is set way back for some reason and...well, it ...

OK, this love-fest is getting a little saccherine, even for me, the Caly worshipper. There must be SOMEthing that could be improved on a Caly3, right? How about a wire clip that doesn't skootch around as much? Or a Caly3 that is assembled with screws instead of rivets? Or--my dream--a Caly with a cu...

Mark me down as a huge fan of the Caly 3 as well. It's my runaway top choice for an EDC knife. I like it so much I've started buying duplicates of it, rather than branching out to other knives. I know diversity is a good thing when it comes to Spydercos, but...I feel better having several Caly 3s! T...

I just reread the guidelines and I can't see how an alert of availability or advantageous prices could be against forum protocol, if the people alerting the forum aren't advertising for their own profit. Given that this forum is owned and administrated by Spyderco, I think we can assume their legiti...

I prefer wire clips when I'm trying to carry discreetly--they virtually disappear along the waistband, under a belt. If someone DOES notice a wire clip, it still doesn't shout "Hey I have a knife in here!" This is important to me because I'm in a profession were people are easily spooked a...

Low Yojimbo Prices - What's Up With That?

I don't own a Yojimbo (yet) so have been looking around for a good price and I am noticing that blue Yojimbos are selling in some instances $20 below wholesale. I am often finding them in "closeout" sections. What's the story here? Are we on the cusp of Yojimbos leaving the marketplace? Wi...
