Re: BHQ with a hap40 Lum Tanto exclusive?
Lanc, I assume this is not lockback but liner/frame lock? For sure. Being an exclusive that will use all the old tooling, I don’t imagine they changed anything other than the g10, the clip and the choice of steel. I think you’re right lance. However, the grey Lum sprint was different than the origi...

I like your appreciation. I can relate, and it goes for things more than blades, also! Wabisabi.

Re: My Rotation
Hello, new member here, hope you all don't mind my first post being in the Picture Gallery. My name is Roland and it's been 3 days since I bought my last knife. :) Been lurking here for a while and really grateful for all the information in this forum. Anyways, here is my rotation; some are a littl...

Neat story! Where was the old plant located? I've never really followed along with much info about the automatics.

Re: VTOKU Sprint Run
Why no hype for the Stretch here? I think the Stretch 2 is already confirmed for the run, and of course, would be one of the models I would personally purchase! Maybe it's sounding like other blade variations of the usual suspects are up for a possible run, like maybe there will be excess blade ste...

...another run of angle gauges. Along thay same line of thinking, an alternative base to the sharpmaker with 24 and 20 (inclusive) angle slots for kitchen knives and ffg knives. I know I'm not the only one who enjoys a good thin apex. My Dfly is somewhere in between 20-24 so the 40 and 30 inclusive...

Is this a thing, like something that would become tangible in reality and one would be able to possess? :p

Re: Lum Tanto...Yes or No
HAP40 + Pakkawood.
I'm guessing that IF this comes back, there is no way it will vary from the original pattern nor maker (otherwise requiring all new design process, tooling, and qc steps), so our choices would probably just come down to a selection of steels and handle materials or colors.

I think it's more about calluses or skin type, than actual strength.
I don't think I own a knife where I have ever used an actual finger nail to disengage a lock...
