The Dfly salts need some blacked out variants as well.

Okay, seriously, I was just thinking this yesterday. Blacked out with black handles and serrations would look so bloody cool. I'd love one. Please, Sal?

You do realize this is supposed to be a family friendly forum right? Might want to edit the F-bomb out of the title.

Exactly.

I’ve heard from many sources; DLC coating a blade does not help resist corrosion.

Are you sure the 800 miles of sweat isn’t the reason for that smell? I feel like it might be. I haven’t ever heard of rust having a strong smell.

If anyone knows about rust, it’s Vivi.

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??

Been carrying it for years. It's a great little knife and probably my second most carried knife. The S35VN holds up well in everyday cutting and handles harder abusive task. I've cut metal cans with it before and it still cuts rope after. Pretty easy to fix too. It's my beater knife and just doesn'...

I love my Native 5 and have been eyeing the fully serrated version for a while. I'd love to see the Manix 2 LW with a fully serrated blade too.

If you like serrations, I’d go for it.

Bro, are you trying to coerce me into getting another knife? I just got the Native 5 SE.

Well, as long as you don’t post a bunch of cool pics like you did with the Native (hint hint).

Re: Serrated Native 5 question

I cut a lot of cardboard with it until it wouldn’t cleanly cut paper any more. Took a while. It is a fine slicer. Took a bit longer to sharpen than H1, but has a real sticky sharp edge right now. The finish holds up very well, I might add. It has character, but isn’t worn out anywhere. Nice knife. T...

The UKPK in 52100 would be like the latest evolution of that long line of traditional carbon steel slipjoints.

Yes, but with a really cool steel I’ve been wanting to try out forever.

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??

You bet. Vtoku has been fun with the delica so far. Did you grab a delica? No. I’m growing tired of the too easily scratched cladding. I know I’m saying this to the wrong guy. ;) It’s just way too soft. I use VG10 every day on cardboard and it’s scratched up, but nothing like SUS whatever or H1.
