Re: Reveal 15 - Live!

There are a lot of new models announced in previous Reveals and Product Guides over 7 months ago (one from 2 years ago) which have yet to show up at dealers... Yeah. I'm not getting too excited about R15 because I'm still waiting on that Magna NatChief from R14 -- that I paid for in November of 2023!

But a Cru-Wear Street Bowie, and make that a Street Beat too while we're at it. That I'm ready for.

Ditto!!

Re: Reveal 15 - Live!

LW Sage 5 in 121 & possibly the D-fly in PD-1 are at the top of my list.

Where are the Calys?

I buy most mules, but oddly enough I don't find the VG XEOS persuasive.

Are we talking 'theft of car' or 'theft of contents of car' or both?

Re: The evolution of a car kit

Ohh.. that's sad. And makes it more of a hurdle to stay prepared. I assume car break ins are mostly a problem in urban areas, so a well thought out EDC bag/backpack should probably cover most needs for daily commutes and shorter drives. I've actually had a bit of fun constructing a get-home bag tha...

Re: Sage 5 in REX 121 + burnt orange

Put me down for a LW S5 Rex 121! The Sage doesn't excite me like the Caly does, but in the meantime, it's a good substitute.

Re: My thoughts on the Native Chief LW

Great review....thank you!!

I have a LW NC on the way, but now have a good idea of what tuning I'll need to do, when it arrives.

Very tempted to acquire this model. Your vote of confidence raises it even higher on my want list. (As usual, great photo. Love me some looong handled S-O ratchet.)

Have you posted your experience with / opinion of this knife anywhere? I'd be interested to read what you think of it.

Re: The evolution of a car kit

Good thread! Here in California, with Prop 47, thieves get a slap on the wrist for breaking into a car, if that. You can steal up to $950 and it's only a misdemeanor. Car break-ins are endemic in SF and LA. So we tend to carry second-grade items in our cars because, if stolen, we can't count on poli...

My best 2 knives, that I will never sell are ..... I cannot say until I buy more copies for backup! :winking-tongue If I published that info and folks went out and bought all of them up I'd be very bummed out. MAP Question

As I understand it, MAP = Minimum Advertised Price, the lowest price at which a dealer can advertise an item. That seems to leave the door open: perhaps some dealers may have unadvertised prices, or will give lower prices if contacted directly. Are there any dealers who will go below MAP if you (1) ...

Not looking for your favorite model, but literally the best combo: model + steel + scale material + scale color + edge type. It's not my favorite model, but it does so many things so well, it's my avatar: The Magnacut Manix . Great blade shape, great lock, excellent steel, safe ergos, allows forwar...
