Re: Usual Suspect Network V2 website is up

I think I might have joined USN to get access to a discount code for the USN Ladybug Hawkbills direct from Spyderco. I could be misremembering but I signed up around the time that knife came out and never really used it again. I spend enough time on this forum, I just don’t have the motivation to p...

Re: USN exclusive Lady Bug Hawkbill in toxic green/TiCN

I'm kind of surprised they're still available too. I originally ordered one of each which I got in a week, then I ordered a 2nd SE and after 11 days I thought I'd check the tracking # and noticed it went from Golden to Miami and straight past me in Toronto and has just cleared customs in Brazil! LOL

Re: USN exclusive Lady Bug Hawkbill in toxic green/TiCN

I'm weak. I went to the SFO on my lunch break today and picked up a backup. :o Smart. I got all of mine today. And back to square one in decision making, which one to carry. for some reason PE feels sharper  LOL yeah, I here that. Mine came in today also and I'm debating if to get a 2nd S...

Re: USN exclusive Lady Bug Hawkbill in toxic green/dlc

I was following that USN thread from day one, can't believe where the time's gone but I'm glad I've finally got one of each on the way. The $25 shipping to Canada was a bit high though.

Re: New knives in the 2015 catalog

Thanks for putting together this list! I always assumed the C91SBBK Pacific Salt black/black SE was already available but haven't been able to find one online anywhere. I didn't realize it's a new variation as I could have sworn I've seen them already. I'd like to get one in the next couple months s...

Re: Spyderco paramilitary 2

Exactly as Sal said. That's also why I have around 20 Spydercos...Moods change and as such, carry options change. While you're looking at the PM2 may I also suggest something smaller from the Spyderco stable like the Ladybug or Dragonfly. I've got three of each of those and one is ALWAYS in my pocke...

Re: Spyderco paramilitary 2

I really like my PM2 but as mentioned above, many don't like the ratio of blade to handle size. Admittedly I'm in that camp as well. I wish the ratio was closer to 1:1 like the Caly 3 and 3.5. I'll probably always keep my PM2 but to be honest I haven't really EDC'd it much since getting my ZT0566 la...

Re: Spyderco paramilitary 2

Welcome to the forum and good choice on the PM2, it's a great knife. One word of caution though, it is one of Spyderco's most popular knives and there are very many really good quality fakes out there, especially on ebay. So good that unless you really know what an authentic one looks like (angle of...

I usually just use Comet, Ajax or similar powdered cleaner, or toothpaste, with an old toothbrush and warmish water.

Hi Johnnie, I believe all the Calys have pinned construction except for the pivot. Sal said the handles are too narrow for anything else. Also as an aside, note the 3.5 has a very small lanyard hole whilst the Caly 3 has none.

It was my favorite knife for a while so I bought a 2nd G10/VG10 Caly 3 as soon as I heard they were being discontinued. One is a user and the other is BNIB as a backup. I love the shape of it but my pivot washer is still a bit gritty. I really need to take some time to take the blade out and clean u...

Yeah I got a little confused with all the other brands mentioned too! My smoothest, fasted deploying Spyderco is my PM2 followed closely by my Manix2.

1st gen full SE Delica "ClipIt" in 1993 after I first noticed the Spyderco in the 1993 Stallone movie Cliffhanger. I think it was a Stainless Steel Police model. Correction - I think it was a SE FRN Delica or Endura I saw in Cliffhanger. The SS Police model I saw was in another movie, just...

Sorry to hear that man. If I happen to find one on the TTC I'll keep you in mind! I can appreciate your loss simply because my Ladybugs are my most used EDCs by far. They're one of two knives I ALWAYS EDC, the other being my Victorinox Midnite MiniChamp. Maybe that's a model you could look into as w...

Have you visited the knitting forums lately? Those old ladies are brutal! By far the meanest place on the internet! LOL I can imagine seeing some grannies getting hostile over who's sweater is nicer and using their knitting needles as shanks. Seriously though, some of us here need to lighten up a b...

Wow, a couple of you would probably be better off just not posting at all if all you're going to do is insult. So the OP's sarcasm wasn't clear, that makes it a dumb thread? Where's the comradery of just being Spyderco or knife lovers in general? Maybe take up knitting and join a knitting forum inst...
