Re: Para 3 Lightweight - Rattle Noise?
Do you actually know what 5mm looks like, because if the washer is moving that much the whole knife should be rattling. 5mm of movement would indicate someone put a giant washer in there by mistake and it is free floating around the pivot. If this is the case, you should probably have wild blade pla...

Doesn't look good, should probably have been pulled as a factory second. Bento box shop and their no returns policy is a no go for me.

Re: Kitchen Set
I think most who want to invest in quality knives prefer to buy the knives they will use rather than accept a set which may have unnecessary knives. You can always buy a block separate.

Re: Opinion : the Dragonfly 3 should look like the Byrd Robin 2
The Dragonfly 2 is pretty much perfect IMO. I think your preferences are based on your hand. I'd say the Dragonfly is more comfortable than my robins in my XL hands. The relative blockiness of the second generation Byrds is a big detractor for me, but I think the Dragonfly is better overall while be...

Re: Respectful feedback and ideas regarding 15V sprint runs
For the people with the time and access, the system is working great. For those who are limited in the amount of time they can spend, usually during the work day, to search for and compete to get these runs, the system is limiting. I'd have liked to give the 15V Manix a whirl, but no such luck. The ...

Re: Why aren't PM2 Scales Chamfered like the Para 3?
I spend a good bit of time with a diamond file and wet/dry sandpaper contouring all of my PM2's and Para 3's. I find them both blocky when compared to the Para 3 Lightweight. I don't know why anyone feels like a blocky design is easier to hold on to. Hands are contoured, a knife handle with contours...

It's in the Reveal so first quarter of 23 would be the best guess.

Re: Spydie flick Stretch 2?
To each their own, but flicking a knife depends as much on your personal anatomy as it does the knife. I have non-sausage finger XL hands and some knives there is just no way I can make the physics work. I'm not big on flicking personally as it isn't necessary and draws more attention in public. Mos...

Re: Price increase
That was quiet, was there a new price list dropped? it's just the annual price increase. i believe new prices were included with the last reveal. To the best of my memory, they do not release pricing in the reveals or catalog any longer. There used to be a pricing guide that was released alongside ...

Near a floodplain in the woods where I dropped the knife a year prior, luckily it was H1. Just a bit dirty, but all good.

Re: Toughness vs Edge Retention vs Corrosion Resistance: What do you prioritize the most?
Depends on the use. Edge retention is nice, but in all reality I am almost always in proximity to a sharpening device of some sort and Spyderco doesn't use any steels that I think are terrible as far as wear resistance goes. Corrosion resistance is often important to me, I work outdoors and often ge...

Re: What’s Coming in 2023?
I'd like to see some new designs coming in around $100 or less. I'd like to see Spyderco shake up handle materials, maybe dip their toes in the button and axis/crossbar lock arena (new Sage anyone?). The last couple years have been the least interesting in Spyderco for me and I have picked up the fe...

If you use your knife, and you should, you will eventually pick up tiny dings along the way. They will sharpen out over time.
