Yeah, that G T does look a little "aston-ish" but most Grand Touring coupes end up looking the same. Just compare that to some of the offerings of Maserati, Jaguar and Ferrari. Many times, the desired function of the car requires a certain shape, but sometimes the resemblance is too close ...

It also doesn't have any steel markings, and the opening hole has a slight chamfer to it. It's really confusing to me, but I can't find anything that supports the "It's a copy" idea other than the missing swedge. If anything, I'd guess it's a very early, if not first, run of the native. Yo...

I agree, the handle is too small for me. I considered selling it off, but I'm a huge sucker for flat ground blades, so it'll make a nice companion to my SE micarta caly jr for sunday duty

Nearly a foot of sharpened blade?

Still, that is amazing and beautiful. I'm loving the two wood handle and the octagonal shape :D

It still gets a lot of love from me, I use it often in my rotation. It's a stout little blade with an ergonomic handle, and a comp lock. Add in the lightness and the fact that the FFG blade cuts with the best even though it's "inferior" steel (AUS-8 on the alum model), I'd vote it as one o...

Chinese company might get lawsuit over copy

I know there are many here who would be interested in this, since our beloved :spyder: s get copied often with nothing that can be done. It looks like Rolls Royce might start a lawsuit over the Geely GE that was revealed at the Chinese auto show recently. (Also it wasn't the only Chinese car that lo...

That G-10 kbit is an interesting piece. I keep seeing the small holes in the handle and think "I bet you could put some G-10 scales on it" :p

I'd be sure to use G-10 pins too :D

I'm in for two! :D

I'm more excited now than when I first heard it would be purple. The native is perfect in my hands, but the only reason it wasn't the best was because of the hollow grind. Long live the FFG!

Heck, if I end up with more than two, I think I could dye one to a darker color...

The D'allara is most definitely underrated. It's a beast of a knife and an amazing deal even at MSRP. The handle fills the hand and is amazingly grippy and the blade is the right shape for hard work. Even the high hollow grind cuts better than you think it should. Oh, and gotta love the ball lock. :...

Good point I didn't even think of the legal aspect. I thought that an Auto was legal in california, as long as the blade was under 2", right? Would this also apply with bali's? Personally, I'd love a 2" bali, even if it's not very flippable. I just love the simplicity of the design and th...

Benchmade. The old Ascent with the Zytel handle and ATS-34 blade. If it makes you feel better, mine credited Spyderco for the round hole on the box, even if it wasn't marked on the knife. You may be right. I was thinking it was the Afck, but from this angle, it's really hard to tell. And Netsquash,...
