I wouldn't worry about it at all. Having heard the stories about magazine spring fatigue, as well as tests refuting them, I am currently running experiments myself. Since my 30 round mags which have been kept fully loaded for 20 years are still functioning perfectly on their annual test, I am inclin...

I picked up a Toad about a month ago in a local pawnshop, PE NIB w/paperwork. I think he had had it since they were in production, had only minor handling marks from being on display for so long, and priced for $39 plus tax :-) It is a handy little knife, in spite of a two finger handle. It is certa...

I am no expert, nor am I familiar with that particular model, but in general i have to say 2 words - BAD IDEA. Those washers are there for a good reason. I suspect removing them would make your problem worse. It sounds like either a pivot tension adjustment is in order, or (worst case) a VERY slight...

That is a tough one. I have hurt myself many times (it ain't really a knife until it's had blood on the blade), but I would have to say, attempting to catch a freshly honed Cold Steel Tanto when I dropped it is likely the dumbest. The smartest was deciding that was a really bad idea while all my dig...

Gordonk, your rental prep thing sounds like my everyday job. I work for a Housing Authority in a small town. 139 apartments, 2 maintenance men. People usually can't believe what my knives go through on a daily basis. Since I can't stand a dull knife, and so much of what I do dulls them fast (gotta l...

Whatever you do, don't buy a reverse S Meerkat (until I get mine, that is!). I didn't really like the look of the Reverse S blade until I bought a Cricket and tried it. WOW! I love my Meerkat, and that reverse S blade can only make it better. I really think the Meerkat is the most underrated knife S...
