2007 Suzuki Sv650S that is the oldest bike I have ever owned and the only one.

So I have had great luck with G10. It will chip a little bit much like wood if it falls onto the concrete. But I have accidentally hit a G10 handle before with a rubber mallet at full swing and did not have an issue at all.

The most I have spent on one knife is $800 on my Koyama piece. I carry that blade everyday unless I am doing heavy work that involves a serrated edge then I carry my good ol Endura. but I would easily spend up to $3500 if the right knife came my way.
