Well, technically it’s still linerless ;) :)

Where'd you get that clip? It goes really well with the fluted CF.

Re: Thumb Stud Spydercos

Evil D wins the prize! The Valloton is a gorgeous exception to the rule. https://www.spyderco.com/forumII/viewtopic.php?t=62406 Bearfacedkiller, I think you're remembering a modified Pingo, not a factory option. The tiny holes are a good size for thumb studs from other knives... Not to say that mak...

Re: Spyderco Website Ordering Woes

I don't see it as whining, as it's a legitimate problem with the website that could prevent many other people from being able to order. A couple months to fix a web store problem is a pretty lengthy amount of time. Who knows how many potential customers they might lose in that time?

Re: SpydieWiki is down.

Looks like a recent version of the database, as the gray Shabaria sprint and Techno 2 have release dates listed (I change the date from "Not yet released" to the month/year only when they actually start shipping). Those were some of the last things I specifically recall updating last year. It looks ...

Re: Phoenix rising

I bought one on clearance with the intent of making a "dark phoenix" version: bead blast the handles, anodize them, and make some carbon fiber replacements for the white ivory scales. Well, by the time I was ready to customize it, the knife had become worth so much I couldn't bring myself to do it. ...

Re: SpydieWiki is down.

Perhaps they can restore the SpydieWiki database to the last version from a couple of weeks ago instead. Here are the ones delivered from June 2018 to January 2019 (MTD): Thanks. Your list has been my go-to on many occasions when looking for release dates. Due to how the transition of the database ...

Re: SpydieWiki is down.

The SpydieWiki up now does not seem to have any of the updates of the past six plus months. Yeah, it looks like the database they ported over was from around June or so, as I was behind on creating pages for new models, but had at least kept up with sprint runs, new variant release info, and had be...

Re: SpydieWiki is down.

Well, I had suspected the site being down may have been due to it finally moving over to Spyderco (this has been in the works for a while), but didn't want to say anything since an announcement hadn't been made yet. With Spyderco handling new content from here on out, does this mean an end to user c...

Re: Spydiewiki

I have at least 100 hours into the Spydiewiki, though wouldn't be surprised if it were closer to a couple hundred (it takes a while to research old models when the page doesn't exist yet). The Q page alone was a massive undertaking (researching variants, tracking down pictures of as many as I could,...

I don't know for sure why it's down, but a couple of us have reached out to see what's going on. I have an idea of what might be the cause, but won't speculate here until I hear more.

What! Spydiewiki is an invaluable resource! It should have fail-safe, nuclear disaster proof, national treasure level protections in place. Glad you're on it jabba. :) I'm just a long time contributor, so can't personally get it fixed, but I'm trying to get in touch with somebody who can. ;) ...

Re: Anso Rock Lobster Sprint Run?

I managed to find one that was almost brand new for $150 two years ago, but I would be in for a sprint. I like the idea of a lobster red handle and LC200N blade, since lobsters should be waterproof. ;)

Re: Very Disappointed

I wouldn't take it as an insult. I know people with a bunch of nice knives and they've never taken a single one apart and aren't exactly handy with general hand tools. I know people who have owned lots of nice cars and have no clue how to work on them, people with big gaming computers that don't kno...

Per their Facebook post, only 800 of these being made. <rant>I wish everybody who makes a limited knife would share the size of the run (yeah, I'm even looking at you directly, Spyderco). It seems like lately all we're told is that they're "limited". Even on sprint runs. I get that for distributor a...
