Picked one up

Basically for my fiancee. I love the cricket design (might be my favourite Spyderco knife) and she always liked it too, so I got one she can use at work. I'm just fine with my regular old SS one.

It really is a pretty knife.

I needed a loupe to look at diamonds when I was getting engaged, and I actually just went to a Jared's and asked to buy one. They gave me one for free (really nice of them) and it's actually pretty good.

I love this knife too. If I could change one thing, it would be the carbon fiber. Probably to G10. It's just a little slippery, especially in any sort of warm weather. It's fine once you're really gripping the knife, but part of having a flipper is pulling it out of the pocket and flipping it open t...

I've never ordered from them so I can't say for sure but I've read some not so good things about them..basically call them and make sure the item is in stock. They have a history of showing product in stock when its really not and you could be waiting for weeks. I think I ordered from them once and...

Awesome!, just ordered from Howe's. It's a collector's but I'm excited! Thanks for the "heads-up"! Just did the same! Thought the price was pretty good and I really like Howes. More than I wanted to spend right now on a knife, but I've been waiting for this one for what feels like ages. A...

Hi there, Don't post often, but the Para 2 is one of my favorite knives and I beat the crap out of mine. It's the folder I carry when doing asbestos inspections and field sampling work. I'll bullet point the things I like: - It's a great size. Larger knives are to big for my hands. This knife is abo...

I'm more of a lurker, but I thought this was interesting and I'd throw in my 2cents. My fiancee really likes the Cricket. I only have a regular SS one, but I've been thinking about picking up a CF or a tattoo. It may be smaller than what you're looking for, but in my experience, it locks up great, e...

Handle

color and diamond pattern are awesome. Hmm, wasn't sure if I would get one. My problem with forum knives is I don't want to use them as I don't want to beat up the beautiful knife! Still, I really like this.

The para 2. I do a lot of field work where easy one hand open and closing helps, and I beat the crap out of it when doing asbestos surveys. Poor knife has been stuck into and used to pry up all types of suspect materials.

Spyderco shot themselves in the foot with the Para 2

Because this is the ideal knife. I haven't posted in a long time, but still come by to lurk. No knife by any maker has grabbed me enough to buy it after the para 2. The only knives I've been tempted by is other para 2s.

So congratulations to Spyderco, but you may have made something too good.

Kind of on the topic on this thread, but I've never bought a mule and know very little about them. However, I like the blade shape and the think it might be fun to try out a new steel like the Cobalt Special. How do people go about making / buying handles and is there an easy way to do it? Any direc...

Maybe we could make a cheaper version of the balance? I think it looks like a great knife, but don't want to pay the premium price, so possibly a neat FRN color or g10 instead of CF? Goes with a long tradition of little big knifes!
