Re: How many knives do you normally carry on you?
Most often one, but I’ll throw a second in the pocket at times. While at work, I carry folder and Leatherman, so that kinda counts as two

I’d be happy with most offerings these days, but have also enjoyed the performance I’ve experienced with Cruwear as well.

Re: Next Project To Revive Another GOLDEN ERA Model
I think we're on the road to either a JD Smith, C-54 Calypso or ROOKIE model so far. But please keep your suggestions coming. We don't have to decide about this in the next ten minutes. So keep the suggestions coming in. I carried a Rookie as my primary EDC for several years and would be happy to d...

Re: Do we really need a finger choil ?
While I’m not opposed to choils, I rarely buy knives with them. I generally prefer knives with as much cutting edge as possible. I found the Caly 3.5 struck a great balance between integrating a choil while maintaining good cutting edge ratios.

Re: Next Project To Revive Another GOLDEN ERA Model
Cool thread, as I’ve been thinking about some the old school Spydies lately. I’d be loving an Executive or Spur with upgraded steel and tip up clip. Keep them plain edged with steel handles or maybe even titanium. I’d be a happy boy

Re: Spyder Classics: The C-61 Pegasus
It’s been a while since Ive logged on(about three years!), but I had a Pegasus. I really enjoyed the original “little big knives” of the past and regret selling all of them!

Re: Is it just me... ?
I totally agree. I prefer a good back lock over pretty much anything else. I like a truly ambidextrous lock. I’d love to see more top-shelf back locks offered.

Re: Admitting when wrong
While neither the Delica nor the Native is my favourite Spyderco, I simply love Spyderco in-house designs. Many knife enthusiasts could do themselves a favour and find one the classic designs that fit their personal tastes and save a pile of money in the process!

Re: Do you ever wish you only had 1 knife?
I think about that idea regularly, but doubt I'll ever end up with truly just one knife. My collection is pretty modest by knife enthusiasts' standards; consisting of 4 folders, 3 fixed blades(1 lives on my PFD), a couple SAKs and two Leathermans. Of those, I carry one folder 99% of the time. The ot...

Re: Favorite Pre-2005 Spyderco Model?
I've been giving this a bit of thought, as there are a couple pre-2005 models I really like, but am gonna go with the C32 Spur. The size and blade shape just do it for me. I carried one for years and wish I still had it.

Re: Facebook is the WORST!!
I got off it years ago after having experienced how people all became experts regarding a situation none of them had been personally involved with that I happened to have been directly involved with. Interestingly, none of the people making the comments knew they were talking about me, but a number ...

Re: D'Allara 3 bump -> The D'Allara revisited - 11 years later
Not much to add other than I'm super excited about the D'Allara 3 coming out. I did have a rescue version of the original D'Allara, but moved it on years ago. The upcoming model hits everything I'm looking for.

Re: Chris reeve sebenza vs hinderer xm-18
I've owned multiple knives from both companies and both make good, solid products. I'd pick the CRKs every time over the Hinderers. CRKs have a higher level of F&F, based on my experience, but not by much. To be honest, I don't really care for the looks of the Hinderers, but I got caught up in t...

The Magnitude looks awesome to me, even though I generally really, REALLY dislike flippers. The Spydiechef is also a knife I've liked from the first time I saw one. The Rhino and Sage 5 also have me giving them a second look.

Re: Amsterdam Meet 2016 Report of Spyderco Prototypes
Love the Snap-It, I'll get at least one in SE. Hopefully the Remote Release is not too far behind... *wishful thinking emoticon* I love the idea of it but the positioning of the hook/clip bothers me a little. I'm sure my aversion to it is based on me imagining it being more of a hindrance to cuttin...

Re: Spyderco's Answer To The Buck Model 110?
JD made mention of the target audience at the beginning of this thread as one of his reasons he sees the Military as Spyderco's answer to the 110, but wasn't the Military designed by Sal as a folder he'd be confident in giving to his son joining the military? I don't know what the designer of the 11...
