All the pictures you see from Amsterdam are models that are in different stages of (pre)production and will hopefully come out somewhere this year.

Re: What did you use your Spyderco for last?

Opening cardboard boxes containing a can with a radioactive tracer at work. I had to use my blue Dodo to force the lid off when the pull ring broke off. Not something you want to do or expect from a very expensive custom made radioactive tracer for a patient. I resharpened the Dodo on my sharpmaker ...

Re: What Are You Reading ?

I'm reading "beetgenomen, 16 manieren om de bende van Nijvel nooit te vinden" by Hilde Geens. A book about the " years of the lead" in Europe and how an unknown gang terrorised Belgium by doing hold-ups in supermarkets and "Diane: 50 jaar Speciale Eenheden in België" by...

A suprise gift... Spyderco para 3 LW in CTS-BD1N.
I like it as a indoor comfy grey sweatpants knife. Light, very sharp, love the action and has a lock. Really nice.

Re: Massad Ayoob II Model Maybe?

I don't know if Mr Ayoob still works with Spyderco. Iirc Massad later designed other knives with other makers. So i might not be that easy asking Mr Ayoob to design a new knife. I would welcome it because i'm a huge fan of "practical tactical " stuff but knife designs seems to be a sensiti...

If Michael ever was involved in a knife fight is probably classified by the Firm. Chances are high it would have been in a hot and humid place with triple canopy....😋

Opfocus for Europeans?

Is it possible to apply for the Opfocus program from Europe? I see that it's for the US and Canadian but it would be wonderfull if we from Europe could also benefit from this program. I have been using Spyderco knives as a LEO, EMT and Nurse since the1990's. Buying knives direct at MSRP from Spyderc...

Re: If you could have any knife in magnacut, why would you opt for another steel?

If it's an affordable steel with "better" properties on all fronts then yes i'll upgrade. But i'm more a model nut instead of a steel nut. I don't really hardly use my knives other then carrying it "just in case" and my main cutting task is cutting plastic wrappers and opening fo...

Re: Knife Laws are weird to me.

In Belgium there are forbidden knives and all the others need a "legal reason" The interpretation of what legal is is up to the judge. Not only that, "any object" you carry "with the INTENT to use or used in commiting a crime, is also a weapon". Basically this means the...
