I've been eyeing that but it doesn't have the divot opener which i think is genius and one of the best features.

Giant Roadie

I used to be the type that would never look at a slipjoint always wanting a strong lock and overbuilt tanks. But as I've grown older I realized i didn't need a tank. The roadie looked like a nice design and was inexpensive enough to try so I bought one and I loved it. Surprisingly, it's one of my fa...

These are the two knives in my current EDC rotation. I find the Military more useful and efficient for my purposes which is opening packages and breaking down boxes for work. For me the negative angle of the blade on the Military makes all the difference. It lets you use the tip more easily and allo...

Two of my GBs do the same thing. They make a slight rattle in the pivot area when opening the blade fast. Not sure what it is exactly but it does not affect lock up or detent hold. Blade is centered and there is no play so I'm not worried.

Just received my second one today. The drilled liners make the knife feel much lighter in hand when comparing side by side with the old one. Has more of the familar "Spydie" feel to it. Lightweight, high performance. However, it has lost the ridiculously overbuilt "clank" sound w...

Black baliyo problems

I was wondering if anyone was having the same problems I am having with the new black baliyos. Not even a week old and its broken :( Everytime i dropped it i would get parts of the plastic breaking off from where the metal rings are. The entire "head" where the metal weight sits finally co...

The way I see it is that since black handled saber ground knives are the best selling, if you introduce a FFG blade with a funky color, the EUL (non-afi's) will almost always choose the better looking knife (black saber ground) when given the choice between the two. Therefore, the handle color for t...

If you are willing to spend 100+ on your mag mod you should look into the classic Mag85 mod which will blow the ROP out of the water. You can find all the parts to build on on CPF. A bit ridiculous and totally impractical at night...but its oh so fun!

I got one on the bay for 165. I haven't gotten such a functional yet fun knife like this in a long time. Fit and fin are as good if not better than the Mili. I personally like the ergos better as well. Being a "larger" knife the blunt tip doesn't scary NKPs as much either. This knife is de...

With many "cheaper" models like the Tenacious and Byrds now having G-10 handles, maybe the CF is used to differentiate the budget models from the premium? Just an idea :o

Although it is visually appealing, I can't hold on to my dejavoo for my life its so slippery. I had a g-10 leak polished before i gifted it to a friend and it was much better in terms of grip than the dejavoo. So depending on how its done Id say yes and no. :o
