Re: Knifejoy Exclusive...Slysz Bowie??!!
I received mine Monday and have been carrying it all week. Couple of observations. The “porous and grabby feeling” of the scales has almost disappeared. I carry it clipped to the same pocket I carry my keys and titanium pen and the scales are now full of snail trails and seem to have less of that gr...

Re: Knifejoy Exclusive...Slysz Bowie??!!
Well mine just came in. I gotta say it’s a very nice knife. I’m looking forward to carrying it. Pretty sure between my pen and keys the scales will have a nice patina by the end of the week.

Re: New to forum
PM2. Pick whatever steel you like, any of them will suit you fine. Then slowly back out the door and forget you were ever here. Trust me on this. The knife will be great and you’ll save allot of money if you don’t return.

Re: Respectful feedback and ideas regarding 15V sprint runs
I think Forge has made some interesting points. Any company that makes a limited number of an extremely desirable product is going to always piss off a handful of loyal enthusiasts when they can’t get said product. Last weekend I ordered a 15v PM on a whim when New Graham was showing some in stock. ...

Re: CPM 15V PM2
I stopped by my local gun/ knife store today and low and behold there was a PM2 15v just sitting in the display case. Needless to say I picked it up. They said it was the last one, so I guess it was good timing. I swapped the blades with the blue smkw M4 lava pm2 as soon as I got home. I’m looking f...

Agree. I’d never own it, and I’d throw it in the trash if it was given to me.metaphoricalsimile wrote: ↑Wed May 04, 2022 3:59 pmCan't see why anyone would want this. Not a legacy to celebrate. If someone wants to call me out for politics, well the confederate battle flag is inherently political.

Shaman nub removal
Has anyone removed the nub at the bottom of the finger choil that bumps into your finger when you close the knife? Yes I have gotten used to it an it really does not bother me at all. I just can’t tell how much it interacts with the compression lock when closed. Just bored on a Saturday afternoon an...

Whichever one came in blue. I’m pretty sure there is scientific evidence that all things being equal knives with blue handles perform the best.
Seriously though. There is no way the average user could tell those three apart.

Re: The Next Shaman Sprint
Rex 121 please. Sure it’s far fetched, but I have just one Shaman in Rex 45 and pakawood. Only thing that would make me buy another is Rex 121. It’s a big knife and I don’t need multiples.

Re: BladeHQ G10 Poliwog
I still have one of the original ss poliwogs. In fact it was one of the first spydercos I bought. It’s a neat design, but in the end I find it too heavy, too thick blade stock and too short of a blade. Oh, also it’s too wide in the pocket. At one time I thought I needed all of the weird spyderco des...

Sure. It’s light weight. Won’t weigh you down as much as you run away like say a shaman or military. I’m a bit of a coward and always wear sneakers so take that for what it’s worth.

Re: So what did y'all end up buying this year (2021)?
Only Spyderco this year was the the smkw blue cf pm2 with the satin blade. Probably my favorite knife purchase of the year. Others include combat troodon —impulse buy at local shop. Really don’t like it. Tactile turn rockwall North Arm Skaha. Only took a year and a half on the list. Benchmade bugout...

Re: C-60 Ayoob Campaign: No I Won't Shut Up
David, Just an observation. With the tip down carry and the jimping at the top of the blade does it scrape your hand as you reach into your pocket past the knife? Does that make sense? I have that issue with my original paramilitary. The issue was fixed when the pm 2 came out but it makes my pm 1 re...

Re: More Smooth G-10?
I have the knife center para 3 in smooth g10. I also recently got the Smokey mountain knife works exclusive para 2 in fat carbon. I find the texture of both very similar and I much prefer it to the grippy, tear my jeans up, regular g10.

Re: Anyone else concerned?
I’m not concerned. First and foremost Spyderco is a for profit company. They have to put money on the bottom line for the long term viability of the company and of course to support their employees. Sprint runs and popular models are what the consumer has wanted in recent years. They are simply answ...
