Re: Some things I would like to see from Spyderco ... you?
3. More designs with no index choil, but rather a handle that places your hand close to the cutting edge in the regular grip, like the Tenacious and Caribbean. This is what I don't understand. Once you get over a 4" blade the handle just becomes longer than needed. Wouldn't it be possible to m...

Does anyone know/considered if this will come in spyderedge?
I'm looking for a large SE folder now, I think this could be perfect.

Re: If you could only keep one.
It'd have to be the Police 4. Its everything you could ever need in a knife, and not that large once you get used to it. Its best trick is that its so slim you don't realize you're carrying it either. I'll carry smaller knives at work for other people's benefit, or the Caribbean if I go near the sea...

Re: H1 vs. LC200n...Real World Observations
I haven’t tested either to their limits as far as toughness goes but I can tell you that the edge on Lc200n will definitely roll before it chips. It’s higher hardness/greater strength though means it will roll less easily than H1. I would assume that same hardness would mean it’s not quite as crazy...

Re: Police 4 Observations
So, in conclusion - it is a spectacular knife and I don't know why I waited so long. I've been carrying one for a month or so now, it grows on you the more you use it. So far the only thing I don't like is the pocket clip, the black 'paint?' comes off really fast. Other than that, its pretty much p...

Re: Recommendation needed - Hunter/Fisherman Fixed Blade for retirement gift.
If I was buying one for myself it'd be the Bradley Bowie, its seems about perfect.
It is slightly less stainless than some though, so it depends where you live.
Failing that the Proficient looks nice too (and the carbon fiber handle is a nice upgrade, it'd make a good present).

Re: Is the Military too big or big enough?
I will go against the grain. The Millie is too big for normal EDC. There, I said it! (for desk jockey's like myself) While it is my favorite knife, and it feels great in hand, the Military is too big to EDC for a normal desk job. Key word - EDC and Desk Job. If the PM2 was too big, the Millie will ...

I vote for spyderedge DF2, I'm thinking of giving one as a present myself.
Main reason is that everyone loves the DF2, its just a handy little thing!

Re: Para 3 versus Police 4
The P4 is surprisingly easy to carry, if you carry a military then the P4 is less noticeable in the pocket. Its actually my EDC now, which is surprising. If you like the look of it, and you like blades that size, go for it! I don't think you'll be disappointed. It may be because its new, but the P4 ...

That sounds just like the UK, slowly banning everything until all you can legally do is sit still at home. lol.

Re: Spyderco Salt Knives as Anti-Shark Defense Tools?
This is a rather comical conversation, its almost like asking which handgun you should use to destroy a tank... I mean, you might get a lucky shot. lol. Up in Canada I'm convinced that if a Grizzly decides to eat you, its going to eat you. So to go into the water with a shark, if it takes a liking t...

Re: SPYDEREDGED Sprint Runs: It's Way Past Time
One more vote for an Ayoob in SE, the pull cutting power of that would be amazing! It might look a bit aggressive, but the EDC potential of that blade is something else. It would have to have a G10 handle though, I really don't like slippery SS handles. I'm not really worried what steel it would com...

Re: Police versus military?
I just bought a police 4, its a pretty awesome knife. And the main reason I did so was because you just don't know your carrying it. I realized that no matter how good a knife is, if its a pain to carry you won't. The P4 just disappears, so it never leaves my side. And other than that its does anyth...

Re: Hi! I'm Canadian. Is it OK to send my Spyderco in for service now?
As far as I know they haven't fixed this yet... which is why we don't have many of the new models for sale yet. I talked to the local cutlery store, they were expecting this to be resolved before Christmas (To paraphrase the conversation, For some reason Canadian customs took it upon themselves to b...
