Re: 2nd hand kaparas (dlt and stock)?

Which scales do you have, and can you comment on them? Ripp's Garage Tech. They have several options in micarta and I have a set in linen Bone and another in canvas Burgundy. Both sets fit up great, no issues there. I like the looks of the linen ones but they aren't as grippy as CF to me. I actuall...

Re: 2nd hand kaparas (dlt and stock)?

The Kapara is my favorite Spyderco at the moment and it gets about all the carry time. Like you I wanted to get a backup while they were in production so I looked around for a while trying to get a DLT version. There have been some pop up in the $200 range but they are snatched up fast, and they see...

Re: Z-Wear Shaman: availability discussion & lookout thread

The Z-Wear Shamans have not been released yet. Are you complaining about something that hasn't even happened? Yes. I thought that was obvious. Which distributors are getting them? Who knows. How many will they get? Who knows. How many will be made? Who knows. When will they be released? Who knows. ...

Re: Z-Wear Shaman: availability discussion & lookout thread

I wish I could be enthusiastic about it as well. I have a couple of fixed blades in Z wear and the stuff is great. But I thought the sprint run thing was going to get better. This is definitely not. I don't have time to fool with all the secret squirrel idiocy, and no one seems to be taking actual p...

Re: Crazy deals @ Sierra and other places

I’m less and less enamored by Amazon. Same here. Their customer support is a shadow of what it was as recently as 2 years ago. They've fallen off and some traditional retailers have stepped up their game, so the relative value gap has closed quite a lot for me. I think their focus on becoming the n...

Still waiting for my preorder from Blade HQ. Guess I should know better than to waste time with that.

Re: St. Nick's Knives Exclusive Para 3

Their Delica is worth the asking price for me. I don't own a Para 3 and never thought about getting one, but if the steel offers something interesting I'll probably have to try it out.

Re: Delica HAP40/SUS410 TiCN with red G10 St. Nick's Knives Exclusive

Picked up one of these at the store today and really like it. I expected the G10 would add some width, but the handles are actually a little thinner than the FRN models I have (0.35" vs 0.38") Very grippy surfacing on them. Solidest feeling Delica I've held, and the prettiest as well. I co...

Re: Delica HAP40/SUS410 TiCN with red G10 Exclusive

Glad I saw this thread as I didn't know this knife existed. Going to see if St Nicks in the Huntsville mall has any and if so, roll down and grab one. Pretty knife and always wanted to see how G10 works in a Delica pattern.

Re: What is your favorite/most used lock type?

Since I've recently been reminded, via delivery of a Hap40 version, that the Delica is the greatest EDC knife in the history of the universe, I voted back/mid. I think the compression lock is better simply on the basis of the lock, so I threw it in as well.
