Re: If laws and public perception were no issue, would you carry a different knife?

i don't think i mentioned it, but i would probably edc a small fixed blade concealed if the laws were different. i'd like to be able to carry my mini tracker in my back pocket or in a bag without worrying about legal issues.

Re: Another run of Whale Rescue Blade is needed.

So what you want is a Spyderco Machete? With teeth? that would be super cool. A Spyderco Machete WOULD be cool indeed, but with teeth?! .. even I as an SE guy think Sal was rather kidding with the "teeth" part - ?! (unless those teeth are perhaps on the spine, additionally to the main Mac...

Re: Corrosion Reports

If you want the strength of a liner, but without the corrosion risk, perhaps the liner could be embedded within the FRN. I've thought about that as well, and I have to imagine there's a reason why it hasn't been done. I wish they'd at least just go back to solid FRN on the Salt series if nothing el...

Great information razorburn It looks like AWT will release soon the scales for the Manix 2 LW. https://appliedweaponstech.com/spyderco-manix-2-lightweight-lw-scales-agent-series-linerless-cerakote/ i really wish they weren't so insistent on ruining perfect ergonomics with "skinny" scales....

Go BIG or go home…couldn’t resist for $85 😉
the resilience is an excellent knife. i never carry mine anymore because it's over the legal limit here, but i still love the design. it's a really under-appreciated model.

Hi Knifewing.

No plans at this time. We're watching the Enuff 2 to see reaction. It's expensive for a simple fixed blade, so we'll have to see where it goes.

i thought the original plan was lc200n. i remember being surprised when it dropped in vg10. was i mistaken?

Re: Upping the price.

When a Presidents spends $4 Trillion in less than two years it causes terrible inflation. And first year business major who has taken economics knows that. Again, the cost of quality knives has dropped dramatically over the last decade while the cost of Spyderco has only increased. Inflation is a c...

Wow, this is all rather interesting (and helpful). Thanks.

For some reason I thought (potentially incorrectly) that the Magnacut Salt was screwed construction. But I’m not sure I’ve scrutinised the photos closely!
it is screwed construction.

Re: Upping the price.

The pricing has definitely made me slow down. I got hard into Cold Steel late last year / this year, and the prices are amazing in comparison...... When I can get a Recon 1 4" blade folder with G10, S35VN and an improved lockback for about $75 VS over twice that for an FRN & BD1 Chief, it'...

Re: Manix 2 LW ball bearing replacement

you can get them easily from flytanium in ceramic, steel, or even glass (which they don't recommend). you can also find them on ebay.
