Re: Mystery DLT Exclusive

Hmmm, would this be the first Ed Schempp model exclusive as well?

Has low supply or over demand killed your interest in a brand or model?

Recently was pointed towards GEC. But when I saw places doing things like lotteries just to have a spot to buy one, my interest bottomed out. Has anyone else had this happen for a brand, or specific model?

Re: Left handed PM2

Personally I've been using the lock with my thumb and letting the finger choil hit my index finger. Then finish closing. That said I have to avoid the choiless designs as a result. Did play around with epoxying a tab or button and it worked pretty well for several months before it finally came off, ...

Re: Completely Forgotten Spyderco Models: Your Favorites?

Another plug for the Ocelot and the Navigator. I still have the Ocelot but gifted the Navigator to one of my daughter's years ago. I really liked that Ocelot model but there was one minor problem that never got fixed with the original OCELOT. Those "paw prints" on the handle/scales ( deep...

Pretty interested in the k390 endela, think it'll complement the police well.

The Colorado flag pm2 is...conflicting. But may just spring for it.

Box cutter/utility knife. More as I'd be curious to see what a company that puts a good amount of thought into ergonomics would come up with.

Re: Byrd neck knife? ”Byrd Swick”?

Definitely looking forward to the swick as well. But something about the idea a byrd version could be called the swan (because you know, long neck...neck knife...right?) is humorous to me

I had no problem flicking it open, or if I wanted I could push it partially open with my index and finish with my thumb.

Put a lil native handle on the blade and then you have a handle for the glass!

If you could have a magic knife, would you rather?

Imagine if you could have a knife that could either be any steel/handle etc at a moment's notice, but only one design, *or* could change to any design instantly, but only one steel/handle choice, which would you pick?

Triangle stone holder

Did a thing. Goal being to make recurve, serrations, other fun blade shapes workable on that sharpening setup.

Re: Best Pepper Spray for self-defense?

I agree it's a good option, consider the different trigger types too. The small pocket ones are usually a slide and press, with a few flip top and press options as well. If you ever have to spray it at someone or something, remember to move, if they don't stop immediately pretty good chance they're ...

I quite like the cup. The one with the lc200n lil native backlock blade. Because it makes me wonder.... Does this mean a Lil native salt might be in our future?

Which models did you initially dislike but then came around?

Recently acquired a dodo. Pulled it out of the box, opened the blade, tried to close it....and kind of hated it. But decided to keep playing with it, and now I'm in between. I had the same experience with the sliverax and pm2. Pm2 I'm still in between, doesn't really do anything great for me. Sliver...

Phoenix, as originally was, or raffir noble (a brighter one than the chap has, maybe yellow or red tint) and a nice steel.
Any Ed Schempp design, which it seems a lot of people are coming to appreciate lately.

Tuff clip alternatives?

Picked up a Tuff recently, but it doesn't have a clip.

Does anyone know of an alternate clip or what size screws the tuff uses? The military clip pattern looks close, but I haven't been able to check yet.

I did email Spyderco but not optimistic on them having a clip laying around.
