I like the design of the Emphasis.

Me too. Reminds me of the Sliverax, which is a good thing.

Re: PM2 20CV Scale Color

Glad you like it! Hope you give it some use...that's a GREAT steel right there! http://u.cubeupload.com/seki_japan/4A34F63768934E8BA585.jpeg I've been carrying it since I got it, just a few days ago after the 2nd drop at DLT. Steel is awesome! I don't usually EDC stainless blades, but it's really n...

PM2 20CV Scale Color

I absolutely love it. In some lights it looks grey, others brown. It reminds me of a car I once had. "Silver," but depending on the time of day it would look shades of either gold or blue.

Re: M4 Shaman Exclusive

I was lucky enough to get one. It just arrived in the mail a few minutes ago. This is my first Shaman, and I really failed to appreciate what a beefsteak it is until just now. PM2 feels like a lightweight knife in comparison! http://u.cubeupload.com/seki_japan/75B110D3B2A84DFEB662.jpeg http://u.cube...

I know what I'm doing tonight, now.

We do live in somewhat of a Spyderco echo chamber, those of us who hang out on this forum.

The Spyderecho chamber: a great place to live.

For knives of this size, I prefer them thinner.

Same here. Thinner stock makes for great slicers.

As excited as I am for the Para 3 lightweight, I'm even more so for a Sage 5 lightweight. I hope this thing makes it to production!

Re: What do you do when Super Blue gets super wet?

I also use compressed air to blow most of the water out, then finish with a hair dryer on low to help evaporation. If you do use a hair dryer, be careful not to heat the knife up too much so that materials might be affected by the change in temp. I usually hold the knife in a bare hand to make sure ...

People that don't understand an ounce of weight makes a difference when carrying a knife in running shorts while tackling mountain trails, wearing basketball shorts, in sweats / pajamas [...]

A great point. Like carrot said, more weight = more bounce, which does get annoying.

Just for posterity, these are some pictures of my Taichung Titanium Sage 2 lock bar as the blade is being deployed. Dec 2016 date code. Similar discoloration on the lock bar as earlier photos of the Spydiechef. Tang on the detent ball: https://u.cubeupload.com/seki_japan/Photoon31119at1020PM.jpg Ini...

Re: More on new Spyderco Light Weights: Let's discuss!

OK, I just have to speak my mind. I am not into this lightweight thing at all. Not even a little bit. Of the umpteen Spyderco knives I have, there is one lightweight, a Native 5 Maxamet that I bought mostly because of the steel, but also I sort of caved in to see what an FRN blade is like. For me a...

Re: PM2 Pivot screw stuck. And I mean STUCK. SOS.

Same thing happened to me with the Cutlery Shoppe CTS-XHP sprint para 3. Pivot screw absolutely frozen in there. Using a method described in an earlier post, throwing my body weight into it and turning very slowly, I bent my T10 bit and stripped the pivot screw. Stupid me used an off-the-shelf-box-s...

If the Caly 3.5 LW happens I hope it has the same texture as the UKPK

Same. Big fan of the waffle pattern on the UKPK scales. Such a simple and classic design.

FRN Caly 3.5 in the style of the UKPK is a grail knife for me.

Happy to hear it’s riding on washers.
I’ve been back and forthing on this one, pb washers might just get me there

Same. Washers might tip the scales in favor. It's a pass if bearings.
