Hi Mike,

I did not know that you were a lefty!
I guess liner-locks are a bit awkward?
How do you cope with liners?

Hi All, Just thought I would give " closure" to this thread... I was the person that sold that "rare Military". I posted elsewhere... I have just sent off a Sterile Military off to Canada. I obtained it in South Africa, where I lived until 5 years ago. Marc Ager, of Ram South Afr...

So ballpoint pens are the real reason that knives are viewed in such a bad light today? Seriously, if we had not " modernised" so many objects, such as pull top cans, pens, etc, than we would still "need " knives of some sort to open everyday objects, don't ya think? Progress is ...

When you lie on your back and stare at the clouds... and ALL of them look like Spiders! You wish your wife had four extra limbs, so she could match your Spyderco collection!! Wondering when a Spyderco Chainsaw will appear on the market... Writing a song for the US Forces in the Gulf, titled, " ...

millions of grinding stones bolted together?

Picture a lot of angle grinding wheels bolted together, starting with one big, two smaller ones, one big one, two smaller ones, etc, etc. This way you could remove the worn wheels, and re-shape as needed. I built one like that in 1996, to make a fixed blade Civilian replica for a customer who owned ...

Hannibal, Don't laugh, but a cheap quick fix is to consider pouring a thin layer of super glue over the scales. When it dries, it leaves a semi rough surface. Remove with acetone. I used this on my Mariner and it generally last about 3 months of pocket carry and use. Try it on a scrap piece of steel...

Replacing the blade is cost effective.
Reshape the broken blade into a Warncliffe profile, and keeping it somewhere safe, along with the allen keys to change it, is even better. Remember the early Spyderco Terzuola? Good profile to consider as a spare.

Having owned a Civilian ( which I sold, dammit!) and now owning a Matriach, I am disapointed to hear that the Matriach has been discontinued. I prefer the Matriach, what with been lighter and slightly smaller to carry in a horizontal Kydex sheath. The Civilian BITES, so you might want to make up a t...

Dantecubit.........Muppet is the most right, if there such a thing.
I am a member of CPF, and Muppet has hit the nail on the head.
UK is the deal, best value for money, and close enough to answer your question.
Surefire are great, but UK wins on value... like a Spyderco, some would say!

Sterile Millie

I have just seen the post that J Smith posted a while back. Yes, that is the one that went to Canada. The thread to CPF is still valid, so look there.

Any news, Sal?

Sterile Military?

A Question for Sal... I have just sent off a Sterile Military off to Canada. I obtained it in South Africa, where I lived until 5 years ago. Marc Ager, of Ram South Africa, visited the Spyderco factory, and saw 10 of the sterile C36's in a box, plain edge and sharpened, and the only mark on them was...
