Re: Spyderfly/Smallfly appreciation
I find the Smallfly trainer to be so light and short that I can't really chaplin without the trainer flying from my fingers. I would love a full size Spyderfly trainer for this reason, or even to see a full size live Spyderfly balisong again. They're real attention catchers because of how unique the...

Re: 2023 Forum Calendar Contest!
I’ve had the idea for a photo of the Spyderthrowers in action for a long time now and finally put it all together for this years calendar contest. The idea was to have stuck the first two throws with the third near impact and myself finishing the throw in the background, sporting some cool Spyderco...

Re: 2023 Forum Calendar Contest!
Great photos as always everyone! When I travel to places where it is legal to bring a knife, I always like to take knife photos as momentos and a record of my travels. This year, we went took a road trip and went to the Glass Beach, so out came the knife (my regular EDC Amalgam). My wife of course t...

Spyderfly/Smallfly appreciation
Any love for the Spyderfly and Smallfly series? I can't legally carry a live bladed version here, but I managed to track down a Smallfly Trainer! This thing is so short and quirky, but its uniqueness makes it really fun to flip and fidget with. I would love to see a full sized Spyderfly Trainer at s...

Re: 2022 Spyderco Forum Calendar Contest
Model: Pochi One of my sources of amusement during the pandemic this past year was to put googly eyes on random things. As it turns out, the Spydie hole is the perfect medium for some googly-eyed fun, so I put one in my Amalgam. When the Pochi was released, I knew I had to get one and grow my googly...

Re: KnifeJoker translucent manix2 lw
Loving mine! On top of all the characteristics that make the Manix a great user, mine came centered and with a nearly drop shutty action and no discernable blade play. And those translucent mystic green handles are just so neat and fun :D

Re: KnifeJoker translucent manix2 lw
I'm very happy to see another translucent Manix and I'm sure to get this one in 20CV. Now if we could only get one with a clear translucent handle, as it was presented in the original production prototype! https://spydercollector.files.wordpress.com/2010/03/spyderco_amsterdammeet2010_prototype_mani...

Re: Dear Sal - Questions re: Slysz Bowie
We love Kinder eggs. The Kinder Joy is good too, but just not quite the same.
Congrats to all those who wanted a Bowie and were able to snag one!

Re: KnifeJoker translucent manix2 lw
I'm loving that color. I'm glad to see more translucent Manix2LWs! I don't think I have any exclusive Spydies. This is very tempting though.

Re: More affordable compression lock knives
As a fan of the compression lock, I would also like to see this happen so more people can try it out. Still my favorite liner/frame-based locking mechanism.

Re: Should I just give in and buy a siren?
I've been carrying my Siren for walking and some light jogging. I also like that the backlock has a better self close and closed blade retention than liner type detents. I've only ever used my Siren to cut soft stuff so far though, so I can't comment on the lockbar when applying pressure to the cutt...
