That is interesting, it looks as if it’s surface hardening rather than full thickness?
It may have a place for lock faces and high wear areas on handles etc.

Yes, enough points of difference to the others knives of the Slipit range. I would buy one.

Re: Catcherman LC200N Sprint Run
One less at KSF.
I just received a bonus from my last employer, opened up my emails to find a flyer from KSF.
And took that as a sign
This is the first time I have even thought about getting a sprint run.

A woman goes to the doctors.
“ Dr I forgot to take my contradictive pill.”
The Dr replies “you’re ignorant.”
To which she replied, “ Yes, three months.”

Re: Vote: Kick? Choil? Forward? Other?
I voted Forward, as the majority of my recent purchases are handle forward models. They are an elegant solution to the Choil vs Kick decision.
That said, on smaller models Choil all the way, with a reduced handle area they provide a more secure grip for harder use.
Aren’t we lucky to be able to choose?

Re: Spyderco backlocks : why is the stop pin an exception, instead of being the norm ?
Could it be that the stop pin is harder to retrofit on existing models?
It appears on ‘newer’ models, Chappy and Sage 4, but may be beyond the scope of CQI.
If and when the Delica/Endura range gets an update maybe it will include the stop pin.
And a choil!

Re: Full handle knife
Polestar, choil-less, linerlock. Handle is superb, a shallower lil’ Temp/Caribbean.
Profile is similar to the Rockjumper but carries slimmer in pocket.

Re: A full size Native slipjoint?
I bought my first Native on the weekend, I’ve waited until now because I wanted to get one in hand before buying. I was concerned that its scales would be too blocky but for me they are very comfortable. After comparing it to my ‘lil Native slippy I can see there may be a market for a sturdier, full...

"it reminds me of a D4 Wharncliffe blade with the handle profile of a Stretch 2."
It is very much like that, it has the hand filling depth of the Stretch with a slightly longer blade.

Re: 2024 Official Discontinued List
The RJ is a very compelling argument for the handle forward design. What is the definition of "handle forward"? The ricasso/choil area is reduced/covered so that the blade edge starts at the scales rather than further out. If you compare a Delica with a RockJumper you will see there is a ...

Re: 2024 Official Discontinued List
Received a Rockjumper SE this weekend. Like many here I had held off because it was so close to the Delica Wharncliffe in specs. I was wrong :eye-roll. The RJ is a very compelling argument for the handle forward design. Is this the backlock Polestar? The handles are very close in dimensions The acti...
