Re: Spydiechef reprofile

Nice work, how do you like it so far? I am between this and a Spyderco Caribbean right now. Can't decide. Caribbean, no contest. It is possibly the best working man's Spyderco of all time. I have both, Spydiechef is still NIB! Edit: Not to complicate things, but the Kapara is like a highly refined ...

Re: REX 45 Military In Stock!

I ordered mine from Bento. I did so partly because of the surprising (unprecedented?) discount, and partly because the whereabouts of sprints has, it seems to me, become very unpredictable, what with lots of online sellers I’ve not heard of playing a bigger (and dissipating) role. I was not about t...

Re: The CATCHERMAN: The TIME HAS COME

I would love to have a new Catcherman in LC200N PE and SE both. I still have yet to pull the trigger on one, holding out for the future.

Re: Models That Absolutely DESERVE Sprint Runs

Despite the recent brown G-10 sprint's lackluster sales pace, I think that a linerless G-10 version of the C54 Calypso needs a revival. This comes after numerous pleas by forum members and AFIs alike for the Caly Jr return. I am hoping that the pending FRN Caly 3.5 could get us one step closer to s...

Re: The Shibui knife

I would buy a backlock one to try out bd1n. The Linerlock was the only reason I haven't tried one out already.

I would also love for it to be Swedish Racing Green, so it can match my Volvo! (Polestar is Volvo's performance moniker)

Re: 2018 Alistair Phillips!

It has finally arrived and it is everything I remembered. It is like a toned down Spydiechef with better ergos and lock. It isn't small, yet it disappears in the pocket. Sure is beautiful! https://image.ibb.co/g7ejYL/20181105-165649.jpg Work and Play! ;) https://image.ibb.co/jy1900/20181105-165747.j...

Also, if it's a folder, no more linerlocks. Thanks!
Would a Compression or Back Lock be suitable for a Spyderco version of that knife?
Compression would be ideal, backlock would be perfectly fine too.

Liner locks need to go the way of the dinosaurs :P

Re: 2018 Alistair Phillips!

I like the looks of it. I am wondering if it would replace my Para Military 2 ? Since Alistair had kitchen tasks in mind when he designed the blade and the handle appears smaller and perhaps better contoured than the Para Military 2 it may be a better choice for my uses. But, it costs 50% more than...

I'm not Ed, but it looks like a tall Patada, almost Bowie'esque(not Slysz).

I liked the Patada, less the lock.

Re: LC200N or BD1N

I would take LC200N as a base steel if it was feasible. It has been a fantastic steel!

I do want to try BD1N on the budget end of the spectrum.
