I have the Dragonfly pink with the number of a knife dealer.
It's a nice addition to the collection and the history if Spyderco.
But overall it's more negative then positive to me.

Re: PARA 3
G10 should be stronger than lightweight.
Full metal liners.
The lightweight has only 1 small liner.
I have both, use mainly the lightweight.

Dragonfly lightweight and Para 3 lightweight.
You don't need more.
Only more variations of them :D
Dfly is EDC, Para for fun and house stuff.
Next thing to buy is the Sharpmaker...

Re: Anyone use a Straight razor/Artist Club razor/Shavette razor?
How does it compare to an Edwin Jagger DE89 and Muhle 89 versions? On a related note, what blades do you prefer the most? I notice a good amount of variation with a safety razor when I use different DE blades. Luckily, I stocked up significantly prior to the Ukraine conflict and Covid, but my regul...

Re: Straight Razor from Spyderco
There are also straight razors with a fixed handle - not foldable.
The handle is more for storage and maybe improving the grip a bit.
And often used for increasing the price because of more fancy material. But the does not improve the performance.
Similar with brush handles.

Re: Straight Razor from Spyderco
I appreciate the aesthetics of carbon steel, but AEB-L is a purpose designed razor steel, so it might be a better choice. Yes. I meant maximum sharpness. Even if a bathroom is a wet environment also carbon steel will not rust that easy. Sharpness is key. If there is a good stainless steel available...

Re: Straight Razor from Spyderco
That are great news, Sal No fancy materials to keep the prices down. A plastic handle simiar to the roadie. Very sharp out of the factory (it's standard for Spyderco but I wanted to mention) Carbon steel (to get maximum sharpness) Should be a workhorse and user. Fancier iteration can follow later.

Nearly always (80%).
To train the muscle (memory) and because it's fun.
If I am around people in public using a Dfly I use my thumb and a slow motion.
More reliable snd less intimidating.

Re: Anyone use a Straight razor/Artist Club razor/Shavette razor?
I am going to start learning to do it myself, soon. I have the lapping film and a flat sheet of tempered glass and a cheap Chinese razor to practice with. I can imagine leather and diamond paste should work. As well as the ultrafine spyderco benchstone. That's why the rich men in former times had 7...

Nice.
You need to hone the razors often?
You use the for every shave or only when you are in the mood / have time?
