Re: Darn it, Bloke was right about the Ladybug Hawkbill!

Ive had a DFHB since they first came out, and have put it through the ringer. Its def one of my most used spydies in the collection, and if I need serrations its my go-to blade. Glad to hear so many others enjoy it too!

Re: Sal, Can we get CPM 15v?

What's the downsides to running super high carbide steels in a kitchen knife? That's a nice looking blade shape! Im guessing sharpening time and lack of lateral flexibility (not wanting to use them for boning, heavy chopping, or cutting frozen materials). If you plan on using them to make low impac...

Re: Sal, Can we get CPM 15v?

... I like the aggression and "bite" you can feel at the edge with all those wonderful carbides bristling at the apex. Great flavor to edge geek on. Dude, youre speaking my language. I love the feeling of a nice aggressive/toothy edge right off the stones, especially with all these high v...

Re: What did you use your Spyderco for last?

Cutting the metal ring off a wine bottle last night. Today I sliced up an Apple for part of my breakfast this morning and then cut up some boxes a few minutes ago. Going on week 3 with this toothy edge I put on this K390 Endura and it just wont stop. Wont shave hair anymore, but still slices paper e...

Still rocking the K390 Endura. Patina is finally starting to darken up a little after weeks of cutting up apples. Love this knife.

Dang, what did it hit? It took an aggressive cut into a really thick staple to finally wreck the edge on mine.

Re: Favorite Pocket Knives

The K390 P4 LW will hopefully be dropping soon. In the meantime Ive been enjoying my K390 Endura quite a bit, I love how this stuff just wont stop cutting.

Keeping with the subject of the thread, my favorites have been my well loved ZDP Dragonfly 2, K390 Endura, K390 Endela, and my Civilian.

Re: Endela K390 in Blue

My K390 Endela arrived today. Im usually an Endura guy, but I gotta say that I really like the design. Handle width is that of the Endura, as is the blade thickness and finger choil area . Blade shape is def more like the Delica, which I like, and I noticed that the finger grooves further down the ...

Re: Which folder?

The tip is gone, the knife is ruined! Gotta throw it in the trash after that I guess. Just get a Benchmade Adamas, sharpie out the butterfly, tell them that the Spydie holes are in the handle and be done with it.

Re: Which folder?

Depends on the Marine or Soldier. I used a CRKT M16-14 while I was in, and it worked well enough for opening MREs and occasional bouts of dumbassery. If I had to get a Spyderco equivalent it would probably be an Endura, or something in an easy to sharpen steel that's reasonably stainless. If the ind...
