Re: Jade FRN?

Yeah, I wasn't thinking so much of a clear FRN knife but rather something that's about the same shade of grayish light green as the G-10 jade knives. But clear would be pretty epic -- unlimited dyeing potential, or just leave it clear to have a super cool clear knife that lets you see all the inner ...

Jade FRN?

Has there ever been an FRN knife with the jade handle / DLC M4 blade combo? I really like that combination of color but I prefer lightweight knives over the G10 models.

Re: What Spyderco are you?

Serrated Worker, 'cause it's very small and kind of weird-looking and has that narrow delicate tip. Seems like a good fit for a kinda weird, scrawny and very short person :) No offence m8,, but i wouldn' t boast my "narrow delicate tip" like that. 😋 ZING!!!!!!! Haha nice one  :D I am fema...

Re: Upcoming flat-ground Rescue 3!

I’ll tell you, you can’t go wrong with the Delica wharncliffe at all. I don’t just say that. I use it a lot, every day at work, since they came out. No other knife can even come close to it as a work knife, in my opinion. Hmm, but will the upcoming wharncliffe Endura be better for my purposes? Pret...

Re: Most efficient everyday cutting chore blade shape, grind, and thickness?

I thought I was the only one! Ha, definitely not the only one. I'm very picky about ergos, and it can be tricky to find ones that work with my hands. So many cool knives Ive had to pass up, because of that... I'm pretty happy with my current set of knives though. I hear what people say about the be...

Re: POLL: Would you buy a sheepsfoot PM2?

If the blade looks like the semi-sheepsfoot leaf-shaped one on the Pac Salt? No

If the blade is a real sheepsfoot like the one on the Rescue, or something similar to the one on the upcoming Smock? Yes, but only if they make it with an FRN handle

Embry's knife photos

Hey guys, what's up. My old photo thread was solely dedicated to my Native 5s but I've branched out a bit since then...

So here's a new one.

Re: Endura Wharncliffe

I’d be happy with bright orange and VG10! If they don't end up making one, you can buy a black wharnie Endura and an orange leaf-shaped Endura, swap the blades, and sell the extra knife again. Kind of a roundabout way of doing it, but it's definitely worth it to get the knife you want :) I did that...

Re: Most efficient everyday cutting chore blade shape, grind, and thickness?

....... .....Too much belly means that materials tend to slip off the end of the knife before being cut. .. LONG blades are important. 3.5 inches is about my minimum these days. Too much shorter and the materials just slip off the end before I can really get a good slice through them. Serrations ar...

Re: Upcoming flat-ground Rescue 3!

@ The Meat man: That is an awesome deal... but my knife fund is entirely depleted due to some health issues my cat had, which took all my savings. Maybe if it's still going on in a few weeks I'll buy some though, thank you! @ The Deacon: Luckily for me, I like serrations on this knife, and probably ...

Re: Most efficient everyday cutting chore blade shape, grind, and thickness?

Some points that make a good EDC knife blade shape, in my experience and for my uses: After some experience with both needle-pointed knives (Endura 3) and very broad-pointed knives (sheepsfoot Rescues) as well as some knives in the middle (Endura 4, Native 5), I've come to the conclusion that the on...
