Re: PM 2 MAXAMET review/rant

I purposefully bought the Para 3 in S110V since I wanted to put some Putman scales on a military line knife. Since I didn't want purple but wanted some exotic steel, the S110V in blurple was the perfect pick. I got the blurple in the mail, didn't hate it, carried it for 2 weeks like that, and I kind...

Re: D'Allara 3 feedback

I'd like all of the input I can get before moving forward. the beauty of the plain ball is simplicity, and it's almost impossible to accidentally unlock. The new model was completely redesigned and re-engineered to solve some of the issues n the earlier model (pocket hog, too tall, too thick, clip ...

Re: Stretch 2 blade with different lock

SAL, I don't ask for anything on the forum, but could you just consider a sprint run for the Stretch? Just put that on the "we'll talk about it for 1 minute around the watercooler next month" list. Hi CC, I do have a Stretch run that I've been working on for a while. Still running into is...

Re: Stretch 2 blade with different lock

I don't see how the design would be improved by changing the lock. I have plenty of them, and love them. But I just love something a bit more sexy, and the way I can swing a blade open and shut with the BBL and Compression Lock is just dead sexy. So make a knife less safe to carry so that it's &quo...

I did see the GB, and I agree on the blade shape. But I don't wanna settle!

Re: Crazy deals @ Sierra and other places

I just ordered the Slysz Bowie. It's on backorder but I'm patient. Edit: I waited 5 months but I did receive the Caly 3.5 ZDP-189 last week for $74.49 so miracles do happen. lol Good to know you got the Caly. I ordered at that same price back in June but still haven’t got mine... here’s hoping! Sti...

Re: Stretch 2 blade with different lock

Well with all this talk about the MAP increase, I think I’ll be in the market soon. Unless someone out there hates their stretch and wants to offload it :) Dang, I was hoping to start a revolution here. I guess I could have a Manix custom ground to a funky shape. How much do you think a reputable bl...

Re: What do real Spyderco Fans think about Byrd knives?

Sal's mentioned on the forum that he sometimes carries a Byrd. Yeah, he has a hand in the knives for sure, and probably wants to promote them, but I doubt he'd carry them if he didn't think they were worthy. I actually think the comma hole is better for opening than the Spydiehole. Kinda grips the f...

Stretch 2 blade with different lock

It seems that Spyderco has a lot of leaf-shaped blades and Military-shaped diagonal spines. I like a little bit of curve in the spine for both aesthetics and choking up when needed with the flat of my hand, like if I need to press on something. But mostly because it looks sweet to have some shape in...

I just got married recently and we put every single Spydie kitchen knife on the registry (and got them all). I do like them, but I wish the handles were larger on the smaller ones.

Can’t wait for the Chef’s knife.

I picked one up yesterday from GP Knives. Grey. Can’t wait to get it! If they come out with different colors I might get a few if I like it.

It was $48, which I gotta say is a bit dang steep.
